Coach Harbs and Chris Moore got into it at practice today. Moore left practice and looked pissed. I hope that bum gets cut this offseason. Like why are you even mad? You shouldn’t be on this team anyways

Wanted Higgins over him in the 2016 draft. when we reached the 4th round. he seems like a guy that we've given more then enough chances to. He's a very good ST player

i get the feeling jaleel scott will be active in this game and that's the reason.

That’s why I’m saying thats what tested my fandom because if that’s the case then it meant they didn’t think it was a big deal until the video came out and I have a problem with that attitude but ultimately the fact we have an ultimatum on players with those sorts of issues is a positive that came out of a very negative situation
Likely yes. I think they treated it as a personal issue that generally fell outside of the scope of team punishment.

Has Josh Gordon hit waivers yet?

Hes a good special teamer but theres 20 of those types in free agency

Exactly. Thank you. Which makes me more upset we cut Bethel

4 PM will be the time he clears it if no team claims him
Interesting that he hasn’t been snatched up yet. I wonder if he clears it, we give him a shot. Could give us intel about Sunday night and would have a shot to play. I’d take a chance on him

Higgins was one of my top guys too!

I think it's probably too late, at this point in the week, to get him integrated into the offense. I'd love to give him a shot here, but is he even the same player that he once was? I haven't really been paying much attention to his play in NE, but it's surprising that he wasn't able to stick there when they don't really have a ton of talent at the WR position right now.

Why shouldn't he be on the team? He made his case in training camp and preseason on why he should be on this team. Im seeing Ravens fans having interest in The Ravens signing Josh Gordon but I honestly dont think wide receivers is the issue. Willie Snead himself should be more productive this year but our offensive passing attack has been one dimensional. Hayden Hurst should be more productive as well but this is Greg Roman first year as The Ravens offensive coordinator and Lamar Jackson still growing as a passer. None of our wide receivers other than Hollywood Brown has been targeted enough for me to even judge their performance this year.

He was another training camp/preseason darling. Big whoop. We’ve seen plenty of those. He has butterfingers and no on-field awareness, as evidenced by that stupid catch out of bounds. He’s been trash since he was drafted, with the exception on ST, which is probably why he’s been sticking around. I’m just saying, he has some nerve to get into it with Harbs when he’s been a bum in Baltimore thus far.

Probably, but you can rely on him to track the ball and make tougher catches than they guys we have now. Hes not the player he was but hes still a lot better than what we have.

He definitely has had more than enough chances to succeed as a WR in this or any other year he's been with the team. He is an excellent special teams player, but that should be the end all be all with him.

Interesting thought regarding Jaleel Scott being active and him being pissed because of it, if that is what you are saying.

I posted this in around the league thread, but thought I would mention it here as well, since he was a big part of our team for 11 season. Joe Flacco was put in injured reserve

Well, generally speaking, I think he's on the team because a) he's quality on ST, which Harbaugh values and b) because during the preseason, we weren't able to develop or find somebody else who was more worthy of a spot.

In terms of the ability to judge another pass catchers on the roster based on target share, in my opinion, that won't change this year or even next year. I just don't think there will be nearly enough volume from a pass game standpoint at any point in the next probably 2-3 years that will warrant a #2 or #3 receiver being a significant part of the offense.

On a per game basis, Andrews and Brown represent 50% of the passing targets. If Lamar is only averaging 30 attempts/game, that only leads 15 targets/game for the rest of all pass catchers, which includes both our TEs, our RBs (who I don't think we use nearly enough in the passing game), and any other WRs.

So realistically, unless there's somebody else who greatly separates themselves from the pack, whoever the third option is in the passing game is still only likely to see maybe 4 targets in a game, because there's enough pass catchers who are all comparable from skill-set perspective that it makes no sense to elevate somebody else.

So the reality is... you may be saying the same thing about Hurst or Boykin or Snead or anybody else for the next few years. Because unless they find a way to differentiate themselves from the rest of the team who's competing for targets, or unless the Ravens just decide to go more pass-heavy and start letting Lamar throw it 35-40 times a game (I don't see this in the near future), I don't see when these guys are going to get opportunities to earn more targets.

For the most part, those opportunities only present themselves via injuries, or via a killer offseason.

I dont know about him being another training camp preseason darling because there was other receivers in the past given the same titled but didnt even make the team. I dont know about Moore having butter fingers cause i havent seen him drop a pass yet this season and last year he had his best year catching the ball. Im not sure about his on field awareness especially this year becuase i havent seen him get targeted much as of yet.

Honestly our receivers havent been involved enough for me to even say we need help in that area. Chris Moore is free agent after this season and always had the upside to be a good receiver. He has made plays here and there for The Ravens in his career thus far but he hasnt become a consistent threat or starter. He earn his spot on the team this year and was looking like one of the starting receivers outside of Brown and Snead.. If he is mad about his production so far and his lack of being involved in the passing game then i think that's understandable. Im honestly suprised Snead hasnt really shown any displeasure as well because he should be more productive as well.

He honestly probably was being quite nice to accept 6 million extension when he probably has the talent to make just as much as Titans WR Adam Humphire( may have spelled his last name wrong). Overall I dont know what Moore and Harbaugh was arguing about. It honestly could have been about something else.

well, I'm looking at Chris Moore as a comp pick

So, where does Flacco end up next season? I honestly think he should consider retirement, at this point. He's taken a lot of punishment these past few years and I'm not sure how much he has left.

He should, but they did extend him for cap purposes.

His cap number is 23.6m and his dead cap would be 13.6m, saving about 10m
