The Random Thought Thread

Guess who we get again this week to call the game.

TV Broadcast: TV: CBS: Ian Eagle, Dan Fouts, Evan Washburn (field reporter)

Weather: 42 degrees and cloudy with 15 mph winds

Referee: Shawn Smith

Romo and Nantz are in New England for the Chiefs/Patriots because AFC Championship rematch, blah blah blah.

I definitely hope we do something because I hate to telegraph moves. We need an edge rusher bad and I’d say it’s easily our top need even now. With that said, I do think we need an ILB, WR, IOL & IDL. That said, those are all even needs from face value perspectives. I’d just like to be able to take BPA or move up to take falling BPA at position of those needs. Not sure Judon would be a guy we should break the bank to keep but I wouldn’t let him go without at least an offer either. He’s kinda like how I saw Mosley in that we could do better but losing him would hurt.
I agree, losing Judon may hurt, but he is replaceable. He's most likely going to fetch around 16m on the open market and I wouldn't pay that amount for Judon.

ok that's fair enough - watching mahomes against those defensive backs should be a really interesting matchup that romo will add a lot to

would literally rather any of the other CBS crews in stead of eagle and fouts round 3:

beth mowins and tiki barber
obviously kevin harlan and rich gannon
greg gumble, trent green and melanie collins
tom mccarthy and jay feely
spere dedes and adam archuleta
even andrew catalon and james lofton would be preferable

or no volume at all

There are only so many times you can keep replacing pass rushers though. The Ravens cycle them a lot but they always had that 1 anchor.

yes, but we have paid players that deserve the big bucks, not the players who aren't worth the big bucks. That will get you in trouble down the line.

look at the crazy difference between 1st and 2nd place

It really is a purple thang. Anytime I can find something comparable between us and the Vikings, you will hear from me! LOL, but in all seriousness, I'm still trying to get used to this offensive prosperity we're witnessing.

the spin move will go into the annals of history with an awesome call from kevin harlan with it

i will remember "he is houdini" for a long time
Didn't Harlan also said that Lamar broke someone's ankles during that call too?

that whole call is so good

21, obvi.
Lamar coined the term, Ingram just made it popular to the media and fans.

I almost think 19 would be appropriate, since it was coined in 2019 aka Lamar’s breakout dominant goddamn groundbreaking unprecedented season, so this season should be enshrined in some way, and because you won’t find many reasons to get a #19 ravens jersey.

A question for Baltimore residents (and others who might catch WNST)

Youtube started recommending me Nestor's stuff on Ravens. I tried watching one and stopped promptly.
Does anybody listen to him? If so, how can you stand a tone of his voice?

I think 21 might still be the right number for it given how Ingram popularised it

But otherwise 00 might work
