Floyd was taking fights early. He realized that wasn't making money. The money persona started and his bank grew. I won't say he's the best, but appears to be one of the smartest(marketing and promoting).

This is it. He’s one of the greatest brands across all sports, that doesn’t make him the greatest boxer. He is a savant at what he does and I don’t deny that, and straight up if he took the pacquiao fight back in 09-10 or whenever that was going down then I’d have a totally different opinion on him, he skirted around that fight every way he possibly could, built his brand on marketing and shit talking and woman beating for years, while pacquio spent those years boxing, Floyd didn’t want that fight until manny was worn down from continuing competing in his sport and manny took that fight knowing damn well he was past his prime and Floyd was rested. That shit will NEVER sit right with me, that is the single biggest asterisk I’ve ever seen in sports, and Floyd has built up this persona of his so that people believe his bullshit, like his reasoning for not signing off on the fight even after mediating and agreeing to all terms, “I’m not in a rush to do anything” no you just ran out of excuses and your using your shitty ego to hide from it. Take that fight and win or lose you get paid and continue your career, he was scared of his brand taking a hit if he lost to someone who really did have a shot at beating him

Manny also had his issues with women by the way. It was just kept on the hush due to his persona as a god fearing man. Not to mention how weird he was about taking a drug test.

Manny was a great sell to the public thanks to the persona that he was a good man vs the evil Floyd.

Practically nobody in the league runs an offense like the Browns, where pretty much no WR is going to put up great numbers, and I would think most places he would sign would have a better QB than Baker.

He agreed to all the urine tests Floyd wanted, and blood tests leading up to, and immediately after the fight, but he would not consent to one immediately before the fight which is what Floyd demanded, manny said he didn’t want blood loss that shortly before the fight, which isn’t unreasonable to me.

the second attempt, it went through mediation and all terms were agreed upon and then Floyd flat out didn’t sign because “I’m not in a rush to do anything” except he should’ve been in a rush considering there was a clear deadline.

and this isn’t me propping up manny, I could give a shit lol, just laying out what happened because it’s clear that Floyd didn’t want this fight.

Well they also have no balance behind Adams in that receiving core. Odell knows if he goes to GB he's the #2, not the #1.

Reality is there's very few, if any, "contenders" where he would become a target hog. Like even here he wouldn't get that. The places where he would be target hogs are places like New Orleans, New England, etc., who are "contenders" certainly, but I doubt anybody really considers them SB contenders and I wouldn't feel super great about either of those QBs.
