Visually stunning without a doubt. Music was also epic. I just kept thinking “ ok something is about to happen , no? ok now something is definitely going to happen…. WTF nothing happened” Its clearly a multilayered and complex story that’s tough to jam in a two hour window. I also probably should have been sober watching.

haha lots of stuff was happening but it was a political based conflict more than action based conflict lol - yeah i would have wanted to be sober lol

Dune is awesome and I’m a HUGE fan of the Lynch version. Part 2 should be like Empire, the best of the trilogy. I hope they just keep going and expanding the universe of the best story ever told.

Maybe the high expectations killed it for me. I was thinking Lord of the Rings but space

Has there been talks on here about Bateman firing his agent and hiring another? He can't be happy with the way he's being used here. I'm hoping this isn't an offseason trade scenario. If it is, Roman absolutely MUST be gone. No excuse for drafting a very talented, high potential WR for once in your franchise's history and having to trade him because this offense is unhappy with an archaic scheme that doesn't use WR's properly. If Harbaugh sticks by his ass, then I'm interested in him being gone too. And stop with the whole nonsense of, "Ohhhh who would you hire in then???"... well, we sure didn't have Harbaugh on the radar when we hired him, did we?

There's a huge number of assumptions here to jump from "player fires his agent" to "fire the coaching staff". His agent didn't get him drafted and there won't be any negotiations as a rookie - maybe he just doesn't like the guy?

I don't know man. There are a ton of RSR posters saying what I'm saying.

agree. I just don't understand all these assumptions that people have that he doesn't like it here and people are implying he wants to be traded. I doubt that is the case.

Let's talk about Bozeman, how do you see your season? Was it a mistake or right to have moved it to the center?
I liked it better in guard, it was more unbalancing for the run and better than powers in protection.
I would bet on Colon, Mekari, I would even have continued with skura or mancz, and also with schofield.
I think the line would have held up better with bozeman-mekari-zeitler.
Villanueva was a big mistake and is not good for any tackle, but powers does not help him at all.
cleveland and phillips couldn't win the spot from powers, so it's all said.
It was a big problem to solve and deCosta spent almost all the cap that he had on two players who do not pass 6 points, the 15 million worst spent in years, 15 million that we never have by the way

I doubt his agent has got anything to do with usage given it’s his rookie year - more likely it’s about endorsements or a better relationship or someone better now that his next deal won’t be a rookie one... all sorts of things it could be and unlikely any of them are about usage

It is very true that AV hasn't been a good player for us, but I'm not sure where you are coming up with 15m.

AV counts 4.75m against the cap this season and will be cut next season for a 6m cap savings and 3.25m in dead cap.

The other player we spent money on in free agency is a good player in Zeitler. I can't imagine not having him here this season. He counts 4.05m against the cap this year. Next year he will most certainly be with us as well and count 8.975m against the cap.

Phillips was the better player at guard, but once he went down with an injury he never got it back and I wouldn't be surprised to see Cleveland win the job next season. I believe moving Bozeman to his natural position at center was the right move and Mekari at right tackle has been pretty good for us.

lol - utterly meaningless - especially as none of this stuff would be happening at this point in the season anyway

it’s just people looking for stuff to fit a narrative

not in the least because clearly sammy Watkins is gone next year and suddenly Bateman slides into that starting role (and it’s not like he hasn’t had a ton of snaps too)

tbf Phillips did beat powers out of that role - he then got injured and then had to play tackle

If you cut them both, you don't save cap, you have to pay 3 million something to Villanueva and 11 to Zeitler.
In other words, we cut them and we still continue to pay them.
so I see the cap

Phillips came back from injury and continued on as a substitute.
in fact until he got injured mekari was sitting on the bench, with powers crashing into lamar
