The Random Thought Thread

and literally dang near every answer you give can be said by someone who never watched a game of football in their life lol. Its kinda like reading horoscopes and shit, shit can be applied everywhere..you ask for definite answers but you dnt really give any
What definitive answer are you looking for? How to compare QBs to each other?
The definitive answer is... stop comparing them. It's about as definitive as you can get.
Or if you feel the weird need to do so, let NFL teams tell you what they think about QBs and go off of that.

Ummm... part of the fun is to compare and rank players. Is it always accurate? No, but neither are opinions either. It's part of being fans.

I mean I guess. I don't find it fun, but fun is subjective.
I think the problem is a) it can't literally ever be accurate, because there's no definitive, objective metric to make it accurate and b) people pretend like their opinions have more merit than others, when literally none of the arguments are strong arguments.
All the more reason why when I see people criticize a guy for saying Cousins will be better than Lamar, it's kind of a moot point to discuss the merits of that take, because objectively, nobody is really qualified to tell them they're wrong.

Well literally pretty much every other fan does, which is why you see countless rankings lol

Haskins had a .2 - .24 BAC when he got hit by the truck along with ketamine in his system... not sure if BAC is as commonly refered to in other places but at his weight this means he took roughly 15 shots in context
Sad situation regardless but the fact that he had a BAC that high and was driving is insane, and it's honestly lucky not more people were hurt.
Additionally, ketamine isn't as absurd as many think but it makes you disassociate and can be EXTREMELY dangerous to mix with alch - literally the last substance someone should drive on.

Shocking…. Guy is an absolute douche, lucky he didn’t kill someone else

Guy literally didn’t want to get caught and arrested which is why he tried to get gas himself across the freeway. As I’ve said from the start

Sorry guys. Call me whatever I need to be called. I’m finding no sympathy for him. He was a dumbass all his life which is why he failed in the nfl and why he eventually died. The guy was driving while impaired which could’ve killed someone else, including a 5 year old like Andy Reid’s son did. Sorry. But sometimes natural selection happens

Agreed 100%. Better off. No sympathy for drunk drivers. That’s how I lost my best friend.

Who knows? He got the gas he needed. Goes down the exit ramp just like Reid’s son did and nailed a driver legally sitting on the side off the road. Kills a kid. Nah. No way. No sympathy
...or bad decisions led him where he ended up and it just is what it is. Happens every day to less noteworthy people than him. The only reason it even reached the ears of the masses is because for a few minutes he was known.

Everyone deserves a second chance bro.. live and you learn from your mistakes..

Do you know what I'm thinking right now? I am just so livid with ESPN where they so callously declared in a story that Dwayne Haskins was drunk at over twice the legal limit. I'm not debating their journalistic right to publish anything that is true. However, the kid is dead and has been grieved properly by most sports fans. Leave his soul be. Why demonize him now? I don't know man. It just doesn't sit well with me, thinking about what his family must be going through.

Much rather it be him than some innocent bystander who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Why even risk it

1. Their responsibility is to report the news and the truth.
2. If they didn't report it, about a thousand other media outlets would have.

Except he's not the one that will be living and learning from his mistakes. His mistakes contributed to him no longer living and learning.
I don't know if him being drunk and high caused him to die or not. I don't really care either. He unquestionably made some poor decisions, and if he didn't, he may still be alive. We will never know.
It can be both bad decisions and an accident at the same time.
