The Random Thought Thread

They’re totally unrelated and we had no news of this when we were discussing Haskins earlier. It’s a tragedy, I’m horrified and sick that this is the reality in America and there seems to be no end in sight.

Why are you even doing this? What purpose does this serve other than using a tragedy to stir up shit on a forum? I don’t know why you would even speak about it in this context

Because Haskins could’ve done the same shit if he had gotten that gas and ran into a car that had children in it. No, not 18 kids as now reported, but still too many kids. I’m not ever letting him become some patronized feel sorry for Saint

My perspective could’ve came true. Who knows. Very glad we didn’t find out
You’re talking about hypotheticals about a drunk driver who got himself killed in relation to a fucking elementary school shooting that actually happened and using it to “win” an argument. That’s the perspective I’m referring to

Well, sorry that I actually won the argument. Except, no, I really am not sorry

If Oweh has a significantly better "statistical" year compared to Kayvon, we'll know it was largely due to Wink. If not then yeah maybe he was a part but maybe also our guys just weren't that good. It'll be interesting to see. Because OLBs have largely been the only underpforming position consistently on the D under Wink.
I agree with yannick when he left here- you can’t be effective as a pass rusher if you don’t get to do your thing. Sometimes you have to “lose” for setups. Other times you just have let your pass rushers be pass rushers, not stunt men to open up a blitzing tavon young lol

Hey Raven fans I love you guys. I hope we meet again this year in the SB.

Whatcha Gon do with Jordan Love? I’m curious why they won’t just try to trade him. Has he shown anything in camp?

There was an article the other day about D Watson where one of his accusers described how he expected his massage to begin. The fact that this guy and the can't-get-out-of-their-own-way Brownies have set the market for future QB signings is repugnant to me.

At least when we sign Lamar, the poster-boy for biggest NFL contract will then be a guy who by all accounts is a nice person and good teammate.

I wish the worst for the browns.. not only because they’re our rivals.. but that was some bullshit. Rewarding him for being a predator. Hope he gets suspended a full year

Really not going to hurt them that much if he does get suspended. The contract they gave him pretty much already assumes a suspension this year, and they've got two pretty good contingency plans in place.

What should be the expectation for Stout in year 1. Should we expect him to be better than Koch last year? Koch was not at all himself last year.

hard to say - randy brown thought he's the best punter to come out of the draft in a decade and that's why the ravens were pressed to go and get him...

if he's that kind of guy, then i think he's the type of guy who forces koch into retirement last year if he comes out last year and next year if he comes out next year

and if that's the case then there's no reason he can't be instantly among the best players at his position in year 1

my expectation for stout in year 1 is that we're probably going to see some longer punts than we did from koch in 2021, probably more punts landed inside the 10 than 2021 too but only because koch fell off last year from his previous standards

my biggest concern with stout is how he replaces koch as a holder

ultimately i expect he'll end up being somewhere between 2020 koch and 2021 koch but i have hopes that he'll be even better than that

Punter is the easiest position to transfer skills from college to pros. He'll be A-Ok. He'll be a great player, for years to come. I don't think we should compare him to Koch because Koch was his own guy

We could use a closer to 2020 Koch. We lost the field position battle so badly last year.
