With Bowser and Ojabo coming back this week, is it just Kolar, Ross, and Williams that we may expect back sometime later this year?

Would guess so. Edwards too of course.
It's still just opening days of these guys practicing, so may still be looking at 2-3 weeks before we see them in a game. I'd think Ojabjo may need a pretty long ramp up. Could be 3-4 weeks for him.

This is awesome news fellas, awesome news. I don't expect Ojabo to be great right away, but next year he'll come on strong

Oh totally. Gus already came back to start practicing last week. Gus and Ojabo should be playing within the next 2 or 3 games. Ojabo I could imagine being 5 or so games away.

But I guess the point I was really trying to get at, is Williams is the only really big loss. If he doesn't dislocate his wrist last game this team would be looking close to maximally good. Let's hope either Stone or Stephens can hold down the fort.

I hope they use him as a pass rush specialist in year one, but agree next year could be a very good year for Ojabo.
Agreed. Just let him rotate in and go get the QB this year. Worry about the rest later. Just too much of a potential impact player even coming off of the injury to let him sit and try to learn the rest mid season.

we know mike mcdonald has the ability to do that - that's literally what he did with ojabo at times at michigan (especially in the georgia game where he knew the offence would probably just try to run over him on his side with jamaree salyer and co) - used him in passing situations and he flashed even though michigan's defence did barely anything and he had fewer snaps than any other week

definitely a huge advantage that Ojabo played for Macdonald last year.

got to think that if NFL teams knew ojabo would be back practicing by mid-october he may well have been drafted a lot closer to his initial spot

it is outrageous the level of talent we were able to pick up with our first 4 picks
4 guys with legit 1st round traits and talent: Kyle Hamilton, Tyler Linderbaum, David Ojabo and Travis Jones

That's just absolutely absurd lmao

it's the complete opposite of the oweh tape we all watched last year where we're hunting for signs that he can wreak havoc as a rusher but have no questions about his ability to play early and often in all phases of the defence

with ojabo you see the natural rush feel, he's measured slower than oweh but he's probably quicker off the mark (their 10yd splits are identical) but i think ojabo's get off is probably better, and he's got really nice reactive hand usage and a bunch of rush moves in his toolkit already... in ojabo's case it's the other stuff where you have some questions (can he consistently set the edge and stay disciplined in run defence)

both very athletic although with slightly different profiles, very similar upsides, very similar backgrounds - good complements for each other

it's exciting times

Give him that Micah Parsons treatment. Just let him do what he does best and try to develop the rest as you go along.
