The Random Thought Thread

That would be 6 weeks from his injury that happened during week 5 against the Bengals. I'm not sure about that. I'm expecting him to be out two months.
Yeah we just didn't get much clarity on it other than not season ending. So I'd assume naively that means as little as 6 and as most as 10

this all relies on health
and i'd still be far more confident if we brought in Odell at some point especially if it eases Bateman's eventual return

but the overall point is good
this OL is playing at a similarly high level in pass pro, and the running game is improving, and Lamar's better

the weapons should be better than they were that year - we've got an opportunity over the next few weeks to see if some guys can step up and put us in a better position in january than we're in right now

but it does mean we may have an ugly few weeks ahead of us

Yeah I see all of those things being true except Bateman being better than Hollywood was that year.

I figure he is not going to be back until early December at the earliest. Not too worried about it though as letting everyone get healthy while the Ravens coax on a relaxing schedule is the ideal situation.

I hope so too. But even with easy schedules, it's hard to win games

Dislocated wrists tend to be season-ending injuries so we should probably just look at Marcus' injury through that lens and expect him to be back near the end of the season/start of the playoffs. If he's able to come back sooner then that would be an added bonus, but I definitely wouldn't count on it.

He can’t wear a club? Ellerbe got a pick to send us to the super bowl with a club on lol

Do we think Marcus Williams could possibly be back for the Panthers game?
Based on the completely broad spectrum that is the internet, assuming he did not need surgery (which would almost certainly end his season), its a 2-3 month recovery.

Injury occurred on October 9th. So first or second week of December would probably be the best case scenario. A good target date, assuming a rather speedy recovery, might be somewhere in the 12/11-12/18 games vs Steelers or Browns.

Where is Maine Jet at? We need to talk about ball security
I believe I said I'd target "revisiting" that situation after six weeks, of which it's only been one week. Wanted to see how the whole "he doesn't turn the ball over" experiment looked after playing the Patriots and Bills twice each.

I'm not going to beat them up too bad, because they're clearly a greatly improved team and have a lot to be happy about. I just think Wilson sucks at that time is going nowhere with him. And I still think they'll finish the year with 8-9 losses.

you dont think 2022 bateman is better than 2019 hollywood with a plate in his foot?
I think he's better, but I don't think Bateman will put up the statistical season that Hollywood did as a rookie. Mostly because of injuries. I hope that by the playoffs when it matters, that Bateman can have a monster playoffs.
