People crucified Joe, often rightfully so , since 2013. I have yet to see any arguments about this since 2019. People have moved on from Joe.

The history behind this only last with a few insecure fans who are more concerned with boot licking than being honest. I get the purple glasses, we all wear them at times, but it’s seems like an odd insecurity bringing up Flacco to defend poor play from Lamar.

Thank you. That’s exactly what a few um, special select, posters choose to do here

Well most fans are also morons. So if you want to classify yourself in that group, that's on you.

I'll be as condescending as I want to be. Ain't going to change just because you want it to, kid.
Hey now, as the group's virile, vigorous and potent, dinosaur, I urge all of you to please relax. No need for anger my dear friends. Absolutely unnecessary. Everybody is entitled to his/her point of view as far as I can tell. No need to bring negative energy to a forum that exudes divinity and calm.

@rmcjacket23 and @Florida Raven Fan, please drop your deadly weapons and shake hands. Life can be that easy when cool minds prevail. As an aside, I love all of you equally, regardless of all your energy-sapping quirks. Thanks on behalf of this blissful forum.

Na. It's brought up because when these same criticisms were made of the other guy, certain posters would shift blame to everyone but him. It has nothing to do with disagreeing with the fault of Lamar, but how bias they were when judging Flacco. It's funny that things Lamar will do or deal with are his fault, which most will agree with, but when Flacco did these same things or worse it was the Oc, the OL, the wrs or the FO. Or the defense not playing lights out for the whole game.

Notice how I wasn’t brought into that group. So I can carry on my dear friends!

I don't dislike Joe, nor do I bring him up to defend poor play from Lamar.

I just find it funny that people who defended worse play from Joe are upset that Lamar is playing at about peak Joe play.

I do believe your memory is incorrect. I never once gave Joe an excuse

Where was this was when you were negotiating Lamar’s contract !?

You can have a higher IQ but with the asshole attitude you have makes you a very unlikable and shitty person.
Guy is a douche , better to just ignore him to wallow in his own issues

Maybe I’m misremembering , but I felt like fans in general were really critical of Joe. Especially post injuries with his mechanics.

It took years of barely average to awful play for people to come around on what he was at that point. And I don't mean whatever he was by the time he was traded. I'm speaking on his play in general from game to game.
Selective remembrance
lol... couldn't have said it better

I think most fans have come around to the idea that he was a far cry from his average level of play after the Super Bowl, but there were some VERY staunch fans who are very ardent defenders even now and those are who I shake my head at. It isn't many people, but they exist still.

Eh, as much as I like Lamar, he currently isn't playing at the level Joe did in the 2012 playoffs, or the 2014 season. Lamar at his best is absolutely better, but it's not as black and white situation as one is always better.

Though as a long time fan it looks like Lamar is getting the same treatment as Joe: stuck in a very limited offense that doesn't play to his strengths.
