The run game was averaging like 2.0 yards per carry. That's not conducive to first downs.
I remember when the Falcons botched the Super Bowl by not running the ball and the narrative was, "You want the ball in the hands of your best player and Matt Ryan didn't deliver." Hell, even Ravens fans weren't solely irate with the defense for their multiple blown fourth quarter leads because of the offenses failure to put the game away. Just funny how the narrative shifts depending on the player.
I love Herbert because I'm a big Ducks fan and I'm glad he's come in and played better than the media expected, but he does not get any criticism at all.
