I like having reality on my side man. Makes it much easier.
If you like reality than why are you living in a Chicago Fantasy.

Proof is truly in the record.

btw, the Bears Vegas over under was 7.5 wins. That typically doesn't make the playoffs and Vegas normally has it right. Not all the time, but that over under was a fair assessment.

I feel pretty strongly that Marcus and geno as a split look and hamilton at nickel would be our best passing defense.
Yeah this. Maulet has played well but not near well enough to keep any of the 3 Ss off the field at this point. Might not be all 3 playing 100% of the snaps but they'll be on the field a significant majority of the time if I had to guess.

I also don't think Marcus Williams comes back and plays 100% of the snaps anyway.

seems more like a Chicago Fantasy if you ask me.

That they could make the entire schedule in a week or that pundit after pundit after pundit kept putting Chicago in the playoffs, all thinking they were clever. Even the Fields MVP candidate thing, which again I consider nonsense, was a popular dark horse that got his odds pushed all the way to 10th, which for someone who is probably a bottom 10 QB is insane, because his odds were the same as Dak and Tua, both of whom outclass him both then and now. Basically even Vegas for some reason were getting bets on Fields and the Bears. It makes ZERO sense to me but that is what reality said. We have video evidence of it and even Vegas moving the line to accommodate the evidence.

Meanwhile, there is no universe though where they made the schedule in the week between when Lamar signed his deal and they announced the schedule. Even if they did not have to work with the teams and the networks, I do not think it is possible for a corporate structure to work that quickly. It almost certainly took weeks of proposals and revisions and emails and meetings.

Happy Veterans Day fellas

I keep seeing all these numbers about players having career years, even players like Van Noy who were on the couch at the start of the year, and it makes me ask the question: which ones are essential to the defense? Is Clowney a big deal or is it Madubuike or KVN or Queenor even Pierce who is having a resurgence or is it Oweh coming into his own?

Considering that they maybe have enough cap room to bring one, maybe 2, back (other than Oweh), I’m just wondering who is the essential piece that has caused most of the defense to look like pro bowl players and who can be allowed to walk for some comp picks (though Clowney won’t create a comp pick)?

Think it’s more that all of these guys are playing well and playing well together, and the scheming has been stellar. If I had to pick a lynchpin for the pass rush I’m picking madubuike but it’s really been a well spread out effort by everyone

Him and Oweh have been regularly double teamed, makes everyone else's job easier.
