The Random Thought Thread

It’s crazy I’m most worried and concerned about our team’s health going into the playoffs, and not about playing any of our potential opponents (that goes for both conferences) in a playoff game

As someone who didn't know Ravens pre 2010, what was the general view of him around 2009/2010? He had 25 TDs and 10 picks, and 3.6k yards in '10. those are great numbers, did people think he was going to continue to develop into a full elite guy? or did people then think 2010 was his ceiling?

Excellent questions. My hopeful sentiment was that he would build on those seasons, but I also didn't see any striking indications that there would be a significant leap. I thought he'd fare better with better receiving talent, perhaps with a terrific OC. To me, the best version of him for an entire season was under Gary Kubiak in 2014. He looked like a Top 10 QB. Likely on the latter end, but the compliment remains. Wouldn't have been shocked if he became it, I didn't quite see a Top 3-5 passer in him.

Back in 2009 I was living through Redskins 2nd season with Jim Zorn at the helm so I may be a little off on my assessment due to breaking so many televisions that year.

That being said, as a Redskins fan I think I can offer an assessment that may differ from some of you. I was happy the Ravens finally landed a young QB that they could groom that could throw to all levels of the field, while also seemingly very intelligent. I also didn't think he would ever be an elite qb and still don't think he ever was that player. That's just my take, imo. I also agree with @Truth assessment that 2014 was the best version of himself.

btw, the Redskins fans would have loved to have him.

Haha I know none of us feel bad for other teams dealing with injuries. I was posting this up to show our current status. Although I’m sure Andrews will change this statistic
It’s amazing me right now the Bengal’s fanbase lack of self awareness, that we’ve suffered this fate for 2 years and that they’ve mocked our QB getting hurt for years now. Hell, they’re playing the victim card because some people have questioned Wilson’s tackles, as Andrew’s career possibly ends

They can all go fuck themselves. Fans, coaches, players - they are all the same.

I almost feel embarrassed for that fanbase. One trip to the Super Bowl and all of the sudden their fans are the cockiest fucks ever. I just don’t understand it

I’ve seen nothing so far suggesting that his career is in jeopardy. He’s probably in for a much slower 2024 and hopefully returns to form beyond that.

It all sucks really bad, Lamar is our most important player but andrews is our best player, major blow, but we don’t have to be extra dramatic about it

crazy how the Steelers have had less yardage than their opponents every game this year and still have 6 wins. (first time in history through 9 weeks) Got to hand it to them that they are clutch in the right moments.
I took the over on these tards at 25.5, now I’m the tard
