Ravens Ring of Honor
I agree! They shouldve left this alone. They better off doing a prequel that would get the young kids attention. The time period where those movies gave you that all time great feeling are long gone. Although, it would be nice for them to finally make a movie where we watch because of the actors and directors. Love avengers type movies but i dnt watch cause the roles, always the actually movie it self
There are still some movies that come out which give me that feeling, but definitely agree that we're no longer in great time period for movies. Everything is a reboot or a superhero movie nowadays and there's not a ton of original ideas
You sure its an actual sequel or just something that can stand alone and is a sequel in name?
This is probably a dumb question considering they're making another Beverly Hills Cop. Vultures
I haven't been following the production of this movie at all so I have no idea. I'm hoping it's just a sequel in name and it's following a different "gladiator" with a whole new cast of characters and set in a different location, but who knows. Ridley Scott is one of the greatest directors in cinema history, but, at the same time, a lot of his recent ideas and movies have been fucking terrible (I heard Napoleon might be good, but I haven't seen it). I wouldn't put it past Scott to release a direct sequel to Gladiator with some dumb, bullshit story and then he acts like it's some new work of art. He should just retire at this point TBH
The biggest reason I find, and this is often true of video games as well, is that the writers are often too afraid to tell an actual story and instead want to pay “respect” to the original.
Yeah, basically they just want to rehash the same stories over and over again. Video games have an inherent advantage in this regard due to gameplay enhancements that make the sequel better gameplay-wise, even if the sequel copies the same story formula as the previous game
