i know we got derrick henry
and i know we've got justice with keaton potentially returning at some point

but i really would have liked if we threw a pick at ray davis

was heartbreaking to have javon baker and ray davis go just ahead of our picks where we took tez walker and tj tampa (albeit im super happy with the tampa pick and tez has massive upside)

Would be hilarious to me if Tez comes out and he and Lamar have Andrews like chemistry immediately. Still have faith in Bateman.

i mean i agree though
if henry's got 30 carries a game then we're not going to be a balanced offence in any way shape or form

remember lamar's got his own run threat and why is everyone so anti-passing the ball lol
 
30 might be a little too high but there is an obvious mismatch in terms of what EDC thought the Henry signing could do and what Harbs, Monken, and Taggart can implement.

Pretty embarrassing. Even if it's not 30 real touches, it's gotta be 30 potential touches with Lamar running or as a passing threat. I would bet Henry came nowhere close to that in game 1 and we were never down significantly.

Currently it feels like we brought him in with no plan. I'm not going to stress cause its early. Think we look more fluid against the Raiders but it appears there's a tell when he's in the game. Still early, but this is partly why I was initially against the move.
 
Harbaugh declined to say why Lamar wasn’t out there today lol
 
I don’t have the data but I think we can use Henry more in the pass game. As a pass blocker and as a decoy with the play action game. Lbs have to attack the LOS when Henry is in the backfield to stop him before he gets going and that should open up passing lanes behind them. I felt like instead Monk opted to have Hill run routes out of the backfield, which I do understand but there has to be a balance. Maybe we start to see it more against the Raiders
