The Random Thought Thread

yeah i wouldnt write him off going into year 3
not a dissimilar progression arc to PQ tbh
But why is he not better than Chris Board? I mean I don't really get that. Board is a STs player not a defender. Malik has also been like really iffy on passing downs. Simpson should be walking the floor with them at WLB given his athletic abilities.

Board was much better than Simpson, especially in coverage. It's not even close.

Simpson is much more athlete than football player right now. There was always going to be a need for development.
He's just completed 2 years though and has maybe 0.5 seasons of playing time. Like next year he's gotta play or he's not gonna materialize into anything

I'm glad that little Minesotta experiment is over. Most obvious bad team with a good record I think I've ever seen
I spend several weeks a year up in north and South Dakota where everybody is a Vikings fan. I tried to tell them that Darnold was not a good quarterback but they were sure he was…. You could tell O’Connell was not happy on the sidelines during the game. After he basically said while he was grateful for him he wasn’t good enough.

@allblackraven - have to say Henry looks better in Purple and Black, then he did in Crimson.
All I have to say is

coverage takes more than athleticism
and board from 2020-2021 played a similar role here (and again with detroit in 2022)

the problem with board and harrison is that they both have significant weaknesses - if you could combine them you'd have a decent LB
the ravens have made a good LB in the aggregate with the two of them

LB is actually one of the hardest positions in the league to play at a high level - and so easy to suck at it

Yup. Happened in the official BR.com forum. One bad thing said about Flacco and Tank would curse you out via PMs
There was no bigger supporter on the old team forum than @MomGene... damn, she would go fucking ballistic if either she heard Flacco slander or Lamar praise. Both were eligible for the gas chambers in her demented mind! Laugh out loud!

Darnold was complete ass in that game

I lowkey think she was racist. There was a political thread on the board that she conveniently locked after people started advocating for black rights, but she had some... questionable takes.

Damn. This episode of Hard Knocks was litty. When that song hit for the pregame hype… sheeeeeeesh

@Simba

Reddit thread ended up getting deleted, but a Browns fan posted that he heard from someone that Tucker is getting divorced from his wife and it's been a struggle for him to manage this season.

Also have these tweets:

Corroborates what you were saying about Tucker having personal issues that were affecting him earlier in the year.

I didn't realize this was going around the internet. My Dad works with a guy who is SOMETIMES (infrequently) in the lockeroom. He told my dad that some of the players were acting as a soundingboard for Tucker who was quite open about his infidelity. I don't know if any of that is true. Tbh when my dad told me that I dismissed it entirely, but it just feels weird to then see it in those tweets.
