The Random Thought Thread

If these suspensions are indeed imminent they need to happen quick so it wouldn't potential lead into the playoffs. we only have 4 games left.

Gruden makes plenty of money sitting up in the booth. And quite frankly, even though his mannerisms and lingo may be annoying that man has more football knowledge than anyone on this fucking forum(no offense y'all but.. I'd let him run a team before any of you). Listening to him can get a bit annoying but he's fascinating and one of the few people I actually care to listen to. That said, he was a good coach so I wouldn't object to the hire. Especially if it meant potentially getting Kubiak back.

But the only thing here that I think might be valid is the suspension. It's probably Suggs then. Maybe Henry too. Which fucks us over but whatever. With how good they have been this year I would not be surprised in the slightest

Apart from DeCosta getting offer from Giants, and who knows how many other teams - like he does near every year, I have hard time believing any of that stuff.

How that person knows Gruden wants to retain Pees / Roman? Typical trolling construction. And after all the offers he refused, why would Gruden even want to come to Baltimore?
That's really what I'm thinking. Gruden makes too much money to want to come out of retirement. I could see a prospective HC keeping Pees and Roman, but how anyone would know this is anyone's guess.

Decosta basically gets like 10 GM offerings a year. Never has left. Not sure why he'd leave with how much we pay him to basically be an assistant.

Not too worried about the suspensions though. Losing to Pit would suck, but the next three games after it are VERY winnable even if we are down Suggs and Henry. The Browns in the factory of sadness. Even though they're talented they might not be able to get out of their own way, The Colts, who are just as bad, and the Bengals with the latter two at home. There's a legit possibility that we go 10-6. More likely 9-7. With how weak the AFC is, that could very well mean playoffs. We got lucky though, and don't really deserve it, but whatever. We just need to win two of the next four games and we are likely a playoff team. We win three, and we are most certainly a playoff team(really, how many 10-6 teams miss the dance?).

The suspensions ( if true) need to be active now because if we indeed make the playoffs then we'll be without one very important player.

I heard about about Suggs and steroids several times. And I'm not talking recently. Suggs was using PEDs for over 5 yrs now. I was actually going to post something about it tonight and give pointers and evidence that I'm about 90% sure Suggs is and was juicing but I got busy tonight. Not to mention he is already caught or about to get caught.

As for Henry if he is using PEDs it probably actually began in college. I really don't think he enhanced himself any since coming to the ravens. The last candidate is Ronnie Stanley. There are 2 scenarios with him. He bulked up big time last year and this off season. I heard the rumors and suspicions from the elites of personal training circles. Stanley was very dominant late last year!! His arms shoulders and upper bod looked far bigger and stronger. Somebody from Notre Dame office saw a pic of him with the ravens and said that is not the Ronnie Stanley he saw before lol. Then Ronnie Stanley shrunk to about his college size again this year but a little bigger than his Notre Dame days. He coulda been caught but it is more likely he was using but got spooked cuz of a teammate or teammates getting caught.

The next strong candidate is along the Oline as well. This one is a name many fans would be disappointed cuz of his move to the top of his position. Yep you are right it is Ryan Jensen. I really like Jensen. He flashed serious dominance in 2015. Last year he struggled a little and was clearly smaller than 2015. He was about 335lb in 2015. Last year he played at 305 if that. He looked very small for an Oline player. This year he got that size back and is about 325-330and was even a little leaner than 2015. So actually more functional muscle than 2015. Jensen is one of my favorite players in football since 2015. Last year he looked like he shrunk a lot and looked very small next to a bulked up Stanley.

The sleepers are Judon who if using in same category as Henry and was doing so since college. Cuz he like Henry hasn't put on significant size since college. As well as Onwausor and Hurst. Hurst doesn't get bullied like before. Onwausor has bulked up a little. The next couple sleepers are long shit sleepers in Weddle and Howard.

5 years is a heck of a long time to not be caught. ...

The pros have ways of beating tests. However the more you do the harder it is to beat the tests. Suggs looking bigger and leaner this year to offset his age is a giveaway similar to Robert Mathis. Did them for several years but suddenly was playing better than he did in years cuz he went more agressive to offset his slowing with age.

Sadly, it does appear so. He seemed to have an extra burst that would seem abnormal for a 35 year old coming off two achillies.

I can't say I'd be surprised if Suggs gets popped. If so, our season is over. Suggs and jimmy have been hands down our 2 best players and we can't afford losing one let alone both. I don't have faith in bowser and williams to carry Suggs load at all

If suggs gets popped for 4 games and we make the PS it could be a blessing as he gets a lot of rest.
The announcment, if this is indeed true, which i suspect it probably is, will probably be today.

Havnt you been screaming for Williams to get more snaps all year though?

Also if we can basically dismiss 2 out of the 3 points in the post as nonsense why would the 3rd suddenly hold water.

I have been, but not by taking Suggs off the field. Give williams snaps over bum ass ZDS. Suggs level of play is irreplaceable right now

I'm going to be real. Suggs getting popped wouldn't surprise me at all. Someone else pointed this out and I noticed it, but Stanley did put on a lot of weight this year. Maybe this is what they meant by biggest jump from rookie to 2nd season.

I don't see us making it without Suggs though. We need him for Pitt, definitely need him for cinci, we can only drop 1 of those 2 games and win the rest to make it in and without Suggs I think we drop both

As for coaching gm changes. I would welcome Gruden and Kubiak. Our offense would be top5 and if anybody could fix Joe Those 2 can!! Even if ravens back into playoffs on this soft schedule Biscotti isn't standing for his franchise paid QB playing like a bottom 5 QB and holding the team back. And as for Ozzie and Decosta. Those dim sighted morons are as much to blame for Joe's play as Harball. Sure the ravens are competitive. But not with up and coming talented young players. Competitive with using PEDs and propping team up with popsickel sticks as in signing cheap veterans that aren't great players like before. But are useful and crafty to give the ravens some good play for a while.

Ravens opted for a box of band aids over one of the best Olineman in the league. An overpowering mauler that strikes fear in opponents thus making skill position players better. Ravens should have the best Oline in football with the opportunity to have one of the best in NFL history if woulda drafted Cam Robinson to complete the Oline. But management wanted to roll the dice with focusing on defense in the draft. When the line was pretty much already complete. The line could consist of....
Stanley Osemele Jensen Yanda Robinson. Think about that. The right coordinator and a No.1 WR and the offense could be No1 while being potent explosive yet ball control. To make it worse management has missed on round2 and 3round players 4 yrs straight!! AND the 2016 draft was loaded!! Decosta and Ozzie picked the 2 losers in the middle of pro bowl caliber players. The players overlooked for Bronson is pathetic. And the players overlooked for Correa should be a fine!! BTW if Gruden was hired he could get control over personnel.
