WTF does Ozzie mean when he says 'You may be surprised who we pick at 16 this year, if we pick at 16'

3 weeks to go and i feel like my anxiety levels are through the roof!

Who the hell do we have our eye on????
I don’t put too much stock in what Ozzie says right before the draft. I figure he is trying to keep other teams guessing. I figure it is just strategizing on his part. Don’t stress too much.

Hey Mili, I know “breakout” is your trigger word. You have to take a shot. I like scotch....lol. Cheers!

Hey cobrajet, it's not really a "trigger" word for me.

I just disdain the usage of the term "breakout" because I see it being used by these writers in nearly every article of theirs in reference to a player "potentially" having a good game, or if they had a "decent" game. Oftentimes, when that term is used, the player actually does nothing, or nothing significant for 3-4 games after their supposedly, "breakout" game!

The epitome of toughness....i like it.

Might be the only thing i like that comes out of Adam Scheins mouth lol
Adam Schein is one of the few guys in the media who has given us love every now and then for like the past few years.

If the immediate reactions and hot takes from the first day of the tampering period were any indication of what the draft is gonna be like on this thread, I can't wait (word to Bart Scott).

yeah hopefully i imagine we get a gameday thread going which should alleviate some of the bleed over into other threads
also this year im likely gonna be absolutely hammered before day 2 even begins because im on a boozy trip away lol so im gonna be an absolute irrational state even if the picks are ones that i like

so i may only get day 1 as a rational human being lol

Seems like people forget about a guy who had an amazing season for us... Alex Collins. On a per carry and solo effort basis, he may have had the best season of any RB, and tons of metric and film to make a case for it.

And get this, he did it with no help and no time to acclimate himself. And in spectacular fashion. It didn't look flukey at all, he had consistent spectacular runs all by his own effort. Max and Boyle helped spring a good number of runs, but he squeezed through holes most RBs wouldn't attempt to, he made tacklers miss routinely, he outran, ran over, and juked tacklers better than any rb in the league last year, and made the most of those forced missed tackles by racking up an absurd yards after contact average.

Alex Collins was fucking spectacular, and there is no reason to not think we have a pro bowl rb this year, yet the vibe I get is that we shouldn't expect a repeat performance, it seems like he's been swept under the rug

tbf - the last post in the wr/rb thread is me summarising how good alex collins was last year lol

ive also since spoken about how well dixon and collins's running styles are great complements to each other

EDIT: found this tweet showing video just to make ravens fans feel warm inside about the running back room - watch dixon (and maybe dont watch hurst get destroyed at right tackle lol)

Are people really forgetting him though? Now I could be wrong, but I don't think I ever saw someone on this board call him a "one-hit wonder." Collins was our BRIGHTEST spot on offense and it wasn't even close.

I remembered during the season that the reason why Collins wore his visor was to help prevent migraines which is something he has been battling for quite some time. That could be a problem going forward considering the position he plays. Now do I think this season was a fluke? Personally no, but I'd love for this production to continue.

Exactly. Reason 1 (Dixon being reason 2) why I don’t want to draft Guice. Collins is a monster.

He'll be benched for Dixon who probably returns 40 pounds lighter.

I think most have been quiet because he's the one piece people feel confident in.

He's gonna shock the world and actually pick one of the WR's we really want. :D

Man ain't that the truth?

I took my truck to the car wash the other day. I was sportin' one of my many Ravens caps and a cat walked by me and said; "Go Ravens!" As he passed back by me he asked me; "Do you think we'll do anything next season?" I said; "Who's we?" He said; "The Ravens". I said; "So, you're a Ravens fan huh?" After he said yes, he then proceeded to say; "Man! We got to find us a running back cause we have no running game!"

Needless, to say, I looked at that cat and said; "What? Are you kidding me man? No running game? Do you even know who our running back was last season since you say you are a Ravens fan?" He then began to stutter and couldn't come up with the name Alex Collins to save his life. SMH! So, he blamed not remembering him on the NCAA tournament.

His ability is something I don't question. His availability long-term however? Yeah.....about that. I understand Guice maybe a stud, but I have no interest in drafting a RB until the mid-rounds.
