Training Camp

I don't feel you understand what pessimism is. The definition of pessimism is a tendency to see the worst aspect of things or believe that the worst will happen, a lack of hope or confidence in the future.

No, it's about recognising a blatantly obvious trend. This is a blatantly obivous trend. Where are the steelers, browns and bengal injuries?
thought so.

Sami I am sorry I don't think you understand what I am saying to you. I am not saying our injury situation has not been bad that last few seasons, but I do not see how that determines the future.

We've lost potential 7 important players before we've ever played a preseason game.

Our training staff needs to be looked at big time, along with the intensity of the practices. I don't want a team full of softies but we shouldn't be seeing players drop like flies. Besides the Chargers, no other team has so many injuries other than us. I would say something needs to change with the training staff, strength and conditioning, something that will lessen the amount of injuries. Also if Harbaugh is running intense practices, then someone(Biscotti, Ozzie or someone at the Castle) needs to sit Harbs down and say, hey cool it with the practices we are losing too many players to injuries.

I have to agree with Sami here.

For one reason or another, key players are getting injured at rapid rates under Harbaugh.

You look at someone like Jimmy and say he might just be genetically made up to get injuries a little easier, so if he gets hurt, you chalk it up to bad luck. Hell, same even for Gillmore. But when your team leads the league in players on IR season after season, you have to start looking at the practices, the conditioning staff, the nutrition staff.

This is nuts. It's a Ravens issue.

Also, Canady didn't practice today, but was completely fine yesterday, so I want to know how reporters are getting this info on his knee if it wasn't reported or confirmed?

i worry it;s an ACL issue like Perriman last year. Where he seemed ok but then his knee swelled up.

I don't see how training staff or Harbaugh can be responsible for Dixon's injury at Louisiana Tech, Camp injuring a toe, Gillmore landing on his knee, Flacco's back stiffening...

I'm not a big fan of our HC but this discussion is turning ridiculous.

Well, if you push a player too hard and put your body under repeated stress without the proper rest and relaxation on the body, it can cause more ligament/muscle issues. No, someone like Camp or Gillmore are probably pretty safe to label as injury prone, but Flacco's back stiffening could be explained under going too hard too often.

Just putting that out there.

please, i have a wish for the next 48 hours. Let canady and gilmores injuries only be a 6 week thing. Yes, if it's not going to be good news, at least let them be able to play this season.

Harbs press conference

'' Oh what a wonderful day for football, *big grin*, oh yes, two injuries ; gilmore and canady both have soft tissue injuries and are out for this season, it's a shame, they were doing really well but hey, next man up, what a wonderful day for football ay guys'' ?

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Most of these injuries happen in our practice, not even in the season games.

wasnt flacco's injury during his own offseason workouts away from the team though?
