The fact that we haven't made an immediate move at CB is a good sign imo. Maybe the Canady injury isn't as severe as expected? Knock on wood.
The bad news about this is obvious: He's hurt and we can't see if it was fixed up.http://presnapreads.com/2017/07/30/colin-kaepernick-is-better-than-joe-flacco/
Ignore the Kaep portion. That isn't important. What's important is how bad Flacco has been lately even with the great 2014 in there.
The Ravens need to fix his footwork if they are going to go far at all this season.
I would agree that Flacco hasn't been good since we lost kubiac, but let's look what happened since we lost kubiac. We hired Trestman who was awful and eight games in he was injured and last year it was apparent he was still recovering from that injury,http://presnapreads.com/2017/07/30/colin-kaepernick-is-better-than-joe-flacco/

As bad as Trestman was, it wasn't him who fudged up Joe's mechanics which has ultimately been his biggest problem lately. That said, the second half of last season Flacco looked like he had improved(he started throwing off of his back foot less and less) but still had a few terrible plays to go with it(which is par for the course with Joe).I would agree that Flacco hasn't been good since we lost kubiac, but let's look what happened since we lost kubiac. I would agree with lost that he improved in the second half of 2016.
Eh, who cares? Flacco's won a SB, and even though you say it's a fluke he's played well in each of the last three postseasons he's played in. Sorry man. Who cares if you're elite? You just need a guy who's proven he's good enough to do it. Flacco has proven he can win one, which is better than most quarterbacks can say.The crazy thing is that I feel the FO and harbs think flacco is really better than he actually is..

The good news is: he's held himself accountable. I know it's just minicamp and whatnot but he looked a hell of a lot better during it. I think that Flacco in the second half of the season was much better than he was during the first half(again, season all around was poor, but still it's encouraging to know that he improved).
I have little to no expectations at this point for the playoffs but honestly would not be surprised if we made it.
I would 100% disagree with the sentiment that he was better in the second half of the season, with the exception of the Steelers game. He was incredibly good in that game and it's a damn shame they lost that game.I would agree that Flacco hasn't been good since we lost kubiac, but let's look what happened since we lost kubiac. I think this is my biggest issue with Joe. When the postseason rolls around, he just looks different. Like, yeah, the play calling looks better, but is it really all that different or is Joe just more on point and more aggressive? I'm leaning toward the latter.Eh, who cares? But the big issue is that Zeitler and Wagner combined for like $110M, right? And probably over $60M in guarantees. Both of those numbers double what BWill got.Yeahm
think about all the options we have in the D line. We could have used that brandon williams money to revamp the O line by re-siging wagner and getting a guy like zeitler
Stanley,Zeitler,Mangold,Yanda,Wagner
how much better does that look?
But no, thank the great brandon williams and his pathetic, overdone carlton dance. If i want to see a rendition of that dance, I can watch ''dancing in the dark ''video ( bruce springsteen) and a young, so hot Courtney cox does it, thank you very much.
I doubt it was double but possibly a 25% more..But the big issue is that Zeitler and Wagner combined for like $110M, right? And probably over $60M in guarantees. Both of those numbers double what BWill got.
You're not getting both when the Ravens are still paying Yanda handsomely.
Wagner is the highest paid RT in the league (at least $50M) and Zeitler is the league's highest paid guard behind Osemele (at least $50M). Try double.I doubt it was double but possibly a 25% more..

While I would take Zeitler over BWill (I wouldn't take Wagner over BWill), BWill really makes the defense drive. You could see in the games where he wasn't playing himself later in the season that the defense as a whole began to falter. He's 100% a cornerstone of the defense. If B will could show any kind of pass rushing prowess i'd have not minded the deal but he is one of the worst pass rushers, for any scheme at NT position i've ever seen. He just doesn't have any explosion.
I think our move indicates that we're taking a wait and see approach and are not willing to commit to any significant signing at QB . The fact that we're still yakking about Kap is an indication that we may not be 100% sure and that this may linger for longer than we expect. The move we made after Flacco's injury is very indicative to me about the severity: the team doesn't really feel that worried. They probably would have gone to sign Kaepernick, or someone better than Olson if they were actually really worried(especially since Mallet has been HORRIBLE). Plus HE said that the back specialist wasn't too concerned if he rested. Not Harbuagh.
I think taking it easy would be the best thing for him to do.
