Joe Flacco

I may or may not have accidently drafted Perriman........

STAY HEALTHY FAM lol

When healthy, this offense has some pieces, but goddamn "when healthy" sounds like such an uphill climb. And if we lose a single starter we are in a world of shit. This is a scary season because we have a serious contender of a starting roster but our offensive depth is downright pitiful

Agreed ! But, to me; it is not just about the Ravens offense having the "pieces". It is about them being able to put all of those pieces together and utilize them "properly" and "efficiently" and "consistently". That is and has always been my issue with that side of the ball since the days prior to and since Cam.

Cam was guilty of this too though, perhaps worse than any of them lol. When flacco was clearly progressing he still wouldn't open up the playbook for him, and with multiple west coast style route running receivers, he ran a bombs away coryell playbook when he called a pass. Boldin, mason, and housh running fly routes is just stupid but he did it for years.

That's what I'm saying Joey. We can have all of the right "personnel" offensively BUT utilizing them properly, efficiently and effectively is another thing.

I am still worried about the run game, I feel like over the last couple of years since the superbowl run we have lacked in that department. (Kubiak year is proof how good we can be)

I'm not sure if anyone's posted this yet but Ray Lewis was on Inside the NFL saying the Ravens were all set to sign Kaepernick until his girlfriend posted the picture of Ray and Bisciotti. Ray said he was involved in the process and it would have happened but for the photo.

I didn't entirely believe it. Ray seemed anxious, above all, to counter the idea that he was an Uncle Tom figure. Why would he be involved in a signing? And why, if the coaches and FO wanted a player, would they be put off by his girlfriend's actions?

Just think of the negative views by a lot of fans by signing Colin to begin with. Then his girlfriend goes out and makes a racist post with the organization's owner and their most known franchise player ever. He was already an iffy signing with the media constantly following him and then his girlfriend goes and makes a stupid post. Of course they wouldn't sign him after that.

While I could believe her antics put the Ravens off (Brent Grimes's wife Miko Grimes makes it difficult for teams to want to sign him), I don't believe Ray Lewis actually had a hand in it or that the Ravens were set to sign Kaep. They were signing several quarterbacks well before this broke and Kaep was nothing but discussion.

I'm sick of this whole Colin thing, and frankly sick of Ray Lewis' bullshit as well. We didn't sign Kap because we didn't fucking need him. It's time for Ray to find a new angle to make himself feel relevant.

Sorry, needed to vent. Thanks I feel better now. lol

After Colin's girlfriend said what she did, no way we sign him now, even if Joe gets injured. That bridge has burned to the ground. I actually feel sorry for Colin, he did not need that. If I was Colin, I would be livid with her.

Yeah seriously. I believe Lewis in saying that we had legit interest (even if I didn't want him). But she cost Kaepernick millions of dollars potentially. And other teams would then go.
"Well shit, if she said that about Steve then what does she think of others? Is he influencing her?".

Ray and Bisciotti are thick as thieves, im sure Ive read a few times that theyre very close and Steve regularly defers to Ray for advice.

True or not I love that it ties up the whole Kaep issue and makes the mouthy girlfriend into the scapegoat. Time to move on.

According to Ray, we did want him until she tweeted the picture. It might be bullshit form Ray though; he put himself right in the centre of the whole signing process.

I'm not sure I want Ray so closely involved. We have a good front office and coaches. Ray seems too driven by his ego ever to be good at either job, great player though he was. I'd rather Bisciotti listened to the people he's paying..

I am sure he does, but this is an extraordinary circumstance. I am pretty sure it is extremely rare for him, to overrule decisions made by team executives or coaches. I am so glad he is not Jerry Jones or Jim Irsay.

I get that some people find him too loud or weird or whatever, but we've also lost more games than we've won since he retired. I shouldnt have to remind anyone that 3 out of the last 4 seasons have been duds, thats where our great front office and coaching has gotten us.

I mean the first season after the superbowl everybody either retired or went off and signed new contracts elsewhere....
2014 made it when everybody was relatively healthy and lost to the Patriots because Jimmy Smith got injured.
The 2015 season was a dud because everyone got injured before anything could even get started...
Last season the team showed that it has made some strides but also was relying upon players coming back from injuries. But showed they are a threat.

This team is not a bad team and it isn't the front office's fault that all of this occurred. To be honest I think the front office has done a pretty good job in retaining key players and signing new ones to keep this a competitive team.
