Which is why they kept him on the roster. RG3 is the backup QB.
Fixed that for ya! Lol...

Pretty much what the others said. RGIII looked incredibly poised and accurate; I honestly imagine he could be a starter in the league right now and be doing well for a few teams.I don't imagine it being much better if Joe went down and Bob took over.
Bob could improve some teams next year. Miami comes to mind, I also don’t think case keenum is the answer in Denver and I think bob would be damn solid in that offensePretty much what the others said. I know where you're going with this, but I honestly think NFL teams overvalue QBs and he'll get paid. If Case Keenum can get 2yr/36M, I think RG3 has a shot. But I guess we'll see. He'll get us a 4th round pick at worst.I don't think he will get 10m a year, but I do believe he could get enough to garner a 4th round comp.
To be fair Keenum had a very respectable season last year. That’s why he got paidI know where you're going with this, but I honestly think NFL teams overvalue QBs and he'll get paid. No way in hell Denver would, there’s no reason. They just paid a QB 18 mil a year and he hasn’t even played bad.Im actually surprised someone like san fran or Denver hasn't came in with a trade offer of like a 3rd rounder for rg3 tbh
When he was a skin I called him Bob3. lol Got really sick of hearing the RG3 thing.Fixed that for ya! Lol...

I’ve heard others(Harbs, team mates) call him Rob in pressers so I’m guessing that’s his real name.
l agree the comp pick will be 4th round at worst, but your comparison of Case Keenum isn't a good one since he was brought in to be the starter.I know where you're going with this, but I honestly think NFL teams overvalue QBs and he'll get paid. Part of the reason you may be correct is that he could be inactive all year, which would also mean he hasn’t played a down in two full years. QBs are getting overvalued, so we shall see what happens. If he’s not top 32 unrestricted contract, then we may resign him.i think you guys are overestimating this - RGIII will likely not have played a snap at the end of the season all things being equal and he's certainly not garnering a 4th round pick right now
while he may go to a team and add value, there's no way a team is giving him anything close to 10m/yr - we'll be lucky if we get any sort of comp pick out of RGIII because if im honest there's no way i see him getting a top 32 unrestricted free agent contract in the nfl

I never said he would become a starter. I absolutely do not believe he will, but if you look at what backups got paid this offseason, it does lend itself to a comp pick. Not sure what round, but a comp none of the less. The only way RG3 starts for a team imo would be due to injury.it will also be hindered by the fact that the league level of qb play is so high at the moment there arent many vacancies for starting jobs which means backups likely end up getting paid less too
Here are all the teams who have qb situations that will mean they are not interested in starters next year in free agency:
Arizona Cardinals
Atlanta Falcons
Baltimore Ravens
Buffalo Bills
Carolina Panthers
Chicago Bears
Cincinnati Bengals
Cleveland Browns
Dallas Cowboys
Detroit Lions
Green Bay Packers
Houston Texans
Indianapolis Colts
Kansas City Chiefs
LA Rams
LA Chargers
Minnesota Vikings
New England Patriots
New Orleans Saints
New York Jets
Oakland Raiders
Philadelphia Eagles
San Francisco 49ers
Seattle Seahawks
Tennessee Titans
Washington Redskins
(id argue that the cowboys, raiders and bengals should at least look at bringing in new blood to challenge an entrenched starter in the way that the ravens did this year)
now the list of teams who may be interested in starters with varying degrees of severity
Denver Broncos (just signed case keenum so they should be interested but they might ride case out)
Jacksonville Jaguars (like the broncos they just signed a qb to a multi-year contract but should not be convinced yet)
Miami Dolphins (Ryan Tannehill just good enough to not be replaced, just bad enough to keep the dolphins in eternal limbo)
New York Giants
Pittsburgh Steelers (only here because Ben always threatens to retire)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (not convinced by Jameis Winston as a franchise qb still because of off-field incidents and turnovers)
which leaves a maximum of 6 teams but in all likelihood only 1 for definite team looking for a starter - and you've got to imagine that Teddy Bridgewater might hit the market and fill one of these vacancies (if the Saints dont lock him up this offseason) and if some of these teams did change qbs you'd have to think there'd be a qb carousel for some of them (tannehill, keenum, winston etc.)
which means we're currently in a golden era of qb play (supplemented and strengthened by 3 consecutive great qb draft classes that gave us what looks like at least 9 franchise qbs: Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, Dak Prescott, Mitch Trubisky, Pat Mahomes, Deshaun Watson, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Josh Allen, Josh Rosen with the potential for a couple more franchise starters to emerge: Jacoby Brissett, Lamar Jackson)
and that naturally lessens the opportunities for RGIII to go and get a contract that would get us a comp pick of any kind let alone a 3rd/4th rounder
Our playbook has also changed Urban might have had some influence on it aswell. Like other's on this board said before, Urban's the most valuable addition.Joe has never been in possession of the sort of pin point accurate throws we have witnessed for three of the last four games.
He is far more intuitive in the pocket so far as subtle moves to avoid pressure. His touch and timing are impeccable and he is more apt to read through progressions and less prone to lock on than I ever remember.
He is without exaggeration (in an admittedly small sample size), touching on Aaron Rodgersesque quarterback play. It would be interesting to hear how he and James Urban have been working.
Did you see what mike glennon got paid...i think you guys are overestimating this - RGIII will likely not have played a snap at the end of the season all things being equal and he's certainly not garnering a 4th round pick right now
