Time for the Lamar era . Let's see what he has.
Joe is history one way or another and I really appreciate the Super Bowl he brought to Crabtown!
i agree but im not sure if the coaching staff do too

I remember that, multiple times. At this stage and with how the season unravelled, it would make even less sense.I was saying Rob will start if Joe can’t go, not Lamar.
Why not?I did not want Lamar to start this next game because it is against a division rival, even if it is coming off a bye. Also hope Stanley is back.

Well this is another school of thought that is plausible. I guess we'll find out next week.if that's the actual case then we wouldnt have put him on the field at all and RGIII would be active on gamedays
and the plan is pointless if lamar is ahead of schedule...
what better way to get him extra ready for next year than have him take snaps
maybe he can even get a couple of wins - a couple of wins and he might already end up with more qb wins than the rest of the rookie qb class lol
baker's got 2 (1 technically where he didnt start but it was his win), allen's got 2, rosen's got 2, darnold's got 3 (but has been playing poorly and is now injured)
im being selfish but as a team we get nothing out of starting RGIII - maybe we get a stopgap but if we lose 1 game out of the next couple we're basically done for the playoffs - Lamar energises the fanbase at home after the bye if he starts, the coaches have already said they want to see him more (well give him the start) - for the future of the franchise we need to start lamar - let him play against a starting defence that will want to welcome him to the nfl (a defence that's missing some guys too incl. carl lawson)
Perriman had no personality at all, I wouldn’t be able to hold a conversation with that guy, Flacco isn’t like that lol. Also perriman didn’t bring us from obscurity to a perennial juggernaut and eventual SB winner like Flacco helped do.Perriman seemed to be a good guy as well and didnt stop anyone from tearing him down. The fan base was calling out Reed and Lewis by the end of their time and their careers are way more accomplished. It is what it is. Jimmy's still probably my favorite player on the roster now and he can be gone next year too if his play doesn't pick up.
Joe probably is THE toughest. Remember early in Matt Staffords career when he separated his shoulder and came back to beat the Browns 2 plays later? That’s some shit joe would do, the difference being that joe wouldn’t have had all the theatrics running to the sideline, you wouldn’t even know he was hurtEveryone praises Ben for being a super tough quarterback, but he's such a diva. Joe is one of the toughest quarterbacks in the NFL, hands down.
You know what makes a red shirt year more productive? Live repsNo but my sense is they do have a plan that was to red shirt him so he could work out all the fundamental kinks he has with his throwing skills. Also, keep in mind that Andy Reid is Harbaugh's mentor and I'm sure he has seen how effective Mahomes has been with a red shirt year.
ooh yeah - 100%You know what makes a red shirt year more productive? Live reps
Out of those guys I respect Ed and Joe the most. 20 was out there playing with one shoulder, couldn’t tackle a lick but was still trying to play and help his team. And neither of them has been arrested. lolPerriman had no personality at all, I wouldn’t be able to hold a conversation with that guy, Flacco isn’t like that lol. Wasn't Ray's triceps separated from his bone? LolOut of those guys I respect Ed and Joe the most. 20 was out there playing with one shoulder, couldn’t tackle a lick but was still trying to play and help his team. And neither of them has been arrested. lol
1 was the #1 pick and 1 was the #32 pick and Lamar was universally thought to need time to develop. Make me be clear I like Lamar and I think he has a very good chance to be our future QB just didn’t want him starting this game and especially if Stanley is out.Why not?
Baker started 2 divisional games, tied one (kicker fucked him), won one.

I’d put Flacco and Philip Rivers right up there at the topJoe probably is THE toughest. And Allen and Darnold are hurt and don’t look particularly good at the moment. No need to rush him if Joe was healthy, but I can see why they would start him now just wish it was in a week or 2. Just don’t like having our line trying to block that Bengals DL. I want him to get comfortable in the pocket not having to break it after he receives the snap.yes and the development it was thought lamar needed was all mechanical - not mental...
his mechanics look good enough (not perfect but good) so why wouldnt he be ready
if the bills were happy starting allen, and the jets were happy starting darnold then im not sure how you could deem lamar not ready... id have said pre-draft he was at least as nfl-ready as those 2
Why tf is anyone worried about Lamar starting. He’s shown huge improvement from what we’ve seen. Who are we to deem him not ready?
I promise if the coaching staff starts him then it’s the right choice. Tired of hearing this “oh no don’t start him he’s not ready to be a QB yet” Because there is absolutely nothing that tells us right now that he’s not ready.

There is one way that starting bob is the right choice, and that’s if he goes on a tear and somehow leads us to an AFCCG or better.i promise you also that if the coaching staff doesnt start him its the wrong choice lol
