Joe Flacco

Not with this offensive line.
Lmao that is true. Offensively this team just lacks at every department. But I don't blame the front office. They set up their defense to have success for years to come. Just hopefully they help out the offense here soon.

While I think Flacco has struggled a lot more since his injury, I think the team just needs to invest more picks into offensive playmakers. This offense has never been the same since Rice left. Why? Because Ray Rice made teams question what the team was going to do in the passing game and the run game. The team needs someone that they can lean on that will show up each week. Even if Flacco was replaced today for whatever reason, I don't think there are many quarterbacks in the entire NFL that could come in here today and look our offense look like stars.
You're right, clearly , in regards to our offensive line doing Flacco no favors.
On the opposite, I don't think you'd have trouble scaring up a quarterback that could come in and throw for at least twenty nine yards.

I miss the days when Flacco threw the most gorgeous deep ball in the league. Now he overthrows because he doesn't have time in the pocket, and no defense is scared of our run game so we don't play action as much, which is why Flacco was so successful. Ozzie needs to put in as much work in the offense this coming up offseason as he did with the defense this last offseason.

I'm not sure how many would come in and throw 29 with how bad the ENTIRE offense played. The o-line and receivers weren't doing him many favors.

I agree. I blame Flacco but you also need to blame the entire offense and he coordinator. Everyone did a bad job and the defense didn’t do them favors. We sucked in all phases even ST due to the fake punt and near block

It really did look like from play #1 the Ravens were out partying all night in London lmao.
The most effort and passion I saw from the Ravens was when they kneeled and locked arms during the anthem. Other than that, they looked like they had no game plan or energy or passion to win. It’s utterly ridiculous.

Even that appeared to lack conviction.

Question: " How is it that our "starting" QB of 10 years couldn't manage to put the team in position to score a single TD, gets PULLED, and the "backup" QB comes in....with the same trashy O-line and the same stone hand receivers and throws a TD to another "starter" in Ben Watson?"

Per the link:

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco was pulled in favor of Ryan Mallett during the fourth quarter of Sunday's 44-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

Mallett took over with the team trailing 44-0. Although the benching likely was a response to protect Flacco in a game out of reach, he was struggling mightily when he left. He completed only 8 of 18 passes for 28 yards and also threw two interceptions.

Mallett got the Ravens on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter on a 6-yard TD pass to tight end Benjamin Watson.

Sorry. 28 yards through the air is beyond pathetic.
We're talking about a supposed franchise player that can seemingly no longer see the field, that has no ability to improvise under duress because he can no longer see the field. He has tunnel vision and locks in on receivers. He generally waits to see guys come open before releasing his throws.
Of course the play calling was abysmal.....play generally was but I expect a lot more from the team leader.

It was one of the most pathetic days I've seen a qb have in years. I don't care how bad the oline was, he still should have had more than that even with the drops.

If Flacco continues to have a bad year, I hope Ozzie pulls the trigger on one of the QB's if they are there while we are on the clock.

I couldn't agree more!

It was vintage Flacco.

What I don't understand is why the team didn't hire a QB coach. Yes, I understand Mornhinweg was the QB coach while Trestman was the OC. However that isn't the case anymore and if he is the OC and the QB coach that is too much. There should be someone dedicated to the QB.

I suspect that next season we will start looking for Joe's replacement in the draft .

He appears to have little left in the tank.

Joe is and always will be my guy....but....

TRADE FOR JIMMY G

To be fair, they put Alex Collins on the field who put them in position to score. I still agree with you though
