I still question Darnold....I feel like being a USC qb is more important to him than playing in the NFL. If you follow his story youll see what i mean. I could see him get lazy at the next level. Meanwhile, Rosen is as stuborn as a horses ass. I like Allen best because hes actually faced some kind of adversity in his career and life that I think can shape and grow a man. Rosen has had to deal with no offensive line or running game at all during his tenure at UCLA with average WRs at best. And he's still tearing several defenses apart. If that's not some form of "adversity" I don't know what is. You have to be a stubborn pain in the ass to get through that.

Not a good criticism of any of them to be honest. Who cares if they have rich families? They all display traits of a franchise Quarterback. Peyton Manning and Eli Manning both grew up very well off and both are likely hall of famers and had fantastic overall careers. I get that facing adversity is a good thing, but that's not the primary thing that most people should look at. Derek Carr grew up in sugar land texas and very well off. While his brother was a bust and people likely picked on him for it but that's not real adversity. Andrew Luck grew up very well off, great quarterback.

Rosen is the best QB UCLA has had since Troy Aikman, and has nothing surrounding him. A shit defense, maybe two reliable weapons, no oline, shit running game. Yet, he still makes it work and has a clutch gene. He has solid intangibles, deadly accuracy, the ability to move around a pocket, read defenses, and a gun for an arm. Does he make an occasional stupid decision? Yes. But he's 20. He's going to do that.(I've been watching him since he was a freshman. Parents are ucla grads)

Allen needs a lot of work, but overall.. I like him. Not as much as the other two but he worked his ass off to get where he is.

Darnold help put USC, a school I hate, back on the map. And has proved to everyone that he is the real deal. He came seemingly out of nowhere to do so. And sure, he may be overly committed to being the QB there, but doesn't seem like the type to get lazy elsewhere. Sure, he's dull, but he seems dedicated at the very least.

These guys are kids. My age. Darnold is literally only a year older than me. So is Rosen. Rosen is an immature brat who needs to shut the hell up, but he gets the job done and puts football first. They will grow up. And they have the traits of a QB. I can't really see any of the three failing at the NFL level. For all of their personality flaws, they all seem to be hard workers with good traits.

I don't think Rosen is immature, just that the medias feast on making him say what they want. From what I listened about him he's not as controversial as some make him out to be. And I think his outspoken ways is something that our FO would like.

Do not... I repeat, DO NOT WASTE A FIRST ON A QB. Picks 1-3 better be OL, OL and OL/RB in any order. It's also been shown you don't need to use a first for a qb. Tyrod Taylor was a 6th round pick, Wilson 3rd, Carr 2nd and Dak 4th. Build the OL. I also don't want a young mind being molded by Flacco seeing how he's displayed his superior reads and sound mechanics...

Its also been proven that OL and running backs dont need to be taken in 1st!

Lol. It's proven that you can find good talent anywhere. Even UDFA. It's easier to do so in the earlier rounds than later rounds(for those who say Judon is underperforming btw. He's a starter as a 5th rounder and he's solid. I think he should gain the weight back and be a power rusher again which is where he excelled. But I'm not worried given how much we've invested in the position the past two drafts. Williams and Bowser look like they're both gonna be players).Oddly enough, recently we've sucked at finding good players early on, but have excelled with mid round talents(despite not retaining some of them. Juice, Williams, Wagner, Young, Judon, Buck Allen, Henry, and looks like tim williams is starting to contribute in some capacity. A lot more than others. Ozzie's drafting the past two years has taken a massive step up).

Antonio Brown and Tom Brady were sixth rounders. Julio Jones and Aaron Rodgers were first rounders. Tony Romo and Kurt Warner weren't even drafted.

But when you have a guy like Rosen or Darnold. You don't pass those two up. Even if you don't plan to start either immediatley. I still think Flacco is gonna turn it around, but would be beyond pissed off if Ozzie passed up on either of those two if we had the opportunity to get either.

It's very possible we don't take an OL in the 1st. You had Alex Lewis and Yanda go down to season ending injuries then Urschel retiring and Siragusa going down to injury after that. You lost your starters and your back-ups, I don't see how you can anticipate that. I think you have two positions, LG and RT where you can go out there and make a move but after that I don't think we're going to go hard on the OL.

I would be surprised if we took a QB round 1 or 2 but it's possible that they could do it to gain leverage on Joe. Put some pressure on him and even get him to take a pay-cut. It may seem like a waste on a pick but I wouldn't sleep on it as next season is do or die for him. If we feel like an elite QB is there, we might take him.

Stick with flacco for 2 or 3 years until hea cutable and throw all your resources over those years at the offense in preparation for 5 years of a qb on a rookie deal

Let's be real: no one, and I mean NO ONE has been more critical of the neglect of the offensive line than me this offseason. And while that didn't help today, Flacco had plays that he should've made, and he shot himself in the foot instead. If he doesn't turn it around. We're fucked.

I absolutely agree with that statement, he has not played well since he was injured. That is just fact. No getting around it. But to say we lost solely on Flacco is just not a fact. The defense did not play well. Collins had a crucial turnover. The O line was pure garbage. Flacco did not play well, but no, this loss is not solely his. Face it, this team is just piss poor and the FO is out of touch.

What does Kap need to succeed? He played in 12 games last year for the inept Niners offense and put up 16 TDs to only 4 INTs. At the very least, we can have him manage games by NOT turning the ball over. Listen, I'm in no way saying that Kap is a better quarterback than Flacco when you consider everything, but it's clear that Flacco isn't right and hasn't been right since Kubiak left. Flacco has always had some issues with turning the ball over, at times, but, in the past, we could at least expect him to make up for it with his positive plays. Now? He consistently fails to impress and this streak of 10 straight games with an INT seems to have no end in sight.

IMO, the play calling does not suite his style. We still don't know exactly what we are good at. The OC with the 9ers did a better job of trying to get guys open and make it easier for Kap.

It does not matter who you bring in, if we are going to be sending guys out on basic routes they will be covered accordingly.

You got to go up and get that and come down with it. one would think if the O-line can't hold up, you'd commit to the run a bit more and make the defense give you some more time with PA passing OR, OR hear me out on this one, design pass plays that get the ball out a bit quicker using the "speed" we have at WR
