Joe Flacco

hahahahahahaha

Yeah okay.
We are not that good of a team. At all.
and the Vikings are just a little bit better than the Browns.
Lol.
When there's a possibility, no matter how remote, I just want them to try. Someone on this team needs to get pissed off. It's this fucking apathy all around that drives me bonkers.

To be fair, the Vikings front seven REALLY abused the Ravens offensive line. They got worked like a drum in both phases. I'm sure Joe felt some phantoms, like when he tripped over his feet.
Say it is unfair, but I've said it before I'm way, way beyond the injury and poor line play excuses. This level of dysfunction that we're seeing is inexcusable. We work our way into position and kill ourselves with fumbled snap and falling down when dropping back? Please.

The remainder of this season is final trial and it doesn't matter what the circumstances are. Either find a way to make those around you succeed even at the most basic level or it is time to start the search for the future franchise QB.

I won't argue that point one bit.

Have you seen Suggs locker interview?
This team is broken. Not just Suggs.
I think the team is beyond frusterated and burned out. I think they are exhausted mentally and physically.
I get it. They can't get anything right it seems.
Sometimes people just say "eff it" I think that is most of our team right now.
Which is a shame.

Definitely but that kind of crap should not happen after 6-7 weeks into the season. That's on coaches.

I just saw it and he looked and sounded downright dejected. He was in a daze at how bad we really are. He tried to put a positive spin on the future but you could tell he is frustrated and doesn't think much of our chances.

If Flacco was out 3 to 6 weeks now it doesn’t seem like it could be worse. Give mallet a try.
Right now there are many second string Qb’s that are playing better than Flacco.

It looks to me like the whole team is ready to hang up their cleats for the season . I have never seen a Harbaugh
team seem this unethused . Not a good sign for Harbaugh and I do hope he is fired .

Hopefully we can get a good QB in the draft because Joe is finished . I just dont see him recovering and think his career
is coming to an end .

If we have a top ten pick in this upcoming draft, are you guys open to drafting one of the top QBs?

I’m feeling the same way. Who would you want to see us take? If Rosen and Darnold are gone, would you take Lamar Jackson because of his immense upside and let him sit a year or two?

I think that is what irritates me the most. Comparing Flacco to Boller. Boller was never really that good. He had moments of greatness. Just moments though.
Flacco has had stretches of multiple games where he has been FANTASTIC. There is no doubt in my mind nor should there be any doubt in anyone's mind that he CAN be great. He just isn't any more. His flashes are getting further and farther in between and more and more brief.

Flacco will finish out his contract here unless we snag some vet, but I don't know who, or how. If we draft I doubt he will be thrust into the starting position game one.
The transition years will be ugly. Good chance we don't see a plus .500 season for a few years, possibly. This ship is just too damaged.
This assessment is starting to feel like the inevitable reality. To sit here and hope for the playoffs, despite the fact that the level of play league-wide is pretty mediocre, seems to be fool hearty and is moving toward borderline delusional.

If we continue this trend, how do we address our problems? We will need to draft Flacco's replacement, the question is when. This year's crop of QBs is reportedly very good, so it seems logical that now would be the time to pull that trigger.

Joe would be retained and would start, but would be a lame duck. Then, the question would be how to transition that QB into the starting job. That will depend on how the new QB comes along and what Flacco's mindset and approach is as the lame duck. It is conceivable that we would wait until 2020 to make that transition. That would give us a couple drafts to try and bring in much needed playmakers who can grow with the new QB.

I cannot fathom how Joe will finish out his contract here. He's signed through 2021. His cap hit balloons to $28M in 2020 and releasing him saves $20M. Unless something changes astronomically, Flacco will not be a Raven for the 2020 season.

Haven’t watched enough take to make a good eval. Like Rosen if he was available though.

I would too, being a UCLA guy, but I’m not sure if he falls to us.

I don’t know, I think we really need to go all out on offense next offseason.
It would be pretty pointless to draft QB high while we have 2 more years of Flacco's cap hit to carry. New guy would learn exactly nothing from this staff and vet QB while riding a bench.

But what if we did an overhaul with the coaching staff and brought someone in like Payton?
