Joe Flacco

lol No it isn't behind the line of scrimmage. It is quite literally the rule right before the one you quoted about illegal hits to runners. So sorry, you're dead wrong and clearly either don't understand the rules when you read them or are just an unmitigated troll that should be banned.

if you really can't tell rule 7(d)(2) is the applicable rule, you're gonna be very confused watching football. joejoe tried to slide right?
if you are somehow referring to rule 7(d)(1) your case is gonna get dismissed in court cuz you've filed it improperly. falling down and kneeling would make him down. he did neither. (do we really have to go over this?). he was advancing yardage right up to the moment he got his bell rung.
7(c) generally pertains to behind the line of scrimmage.

heres the thing, you troll me for pointing out how little you understand about the game, even when all the time i'm learning you. if i took these clearly wrong, misinformed and unappreciative positions i'd feel pretty dim and plead my ignorance, but that's me. moral of the story, don't slide late on kiko Alonso and don't bring a knife to a forum gun fight!

flacco took that shot because he never knows where he is!

Guys, any continuation with the troll will resort in me issuing warnings. Really, stop. The only way a troll wins is if you reply to them and quote them. Quit it. They cannot win if you ignore them and they eventually go away.

Wait so he is allowed to troll and nothing happens but we get warnings if we point out what an idiot he is and how wrong he is? Seriously? If that is the case, then the troll already won. Congratulations.

I'm going to start issuing warnings for him trolling yes, but you all should be aware to not feed the troll.

I will always defend the right to have a different opinion, but guys, he's already said he likes head hunters and refuses to actually read the rulebook. Just stop replying. He's trying to troll. Don't let him. This was more of a warning for the people who keep replying to him for some reason.

IDK....There’s still a lot of people who think the game should be played like a blood sport. I bet if you started a Bernard Pollard thread you would get what I mean.

I agree with very little Ray says, but he’s been much more tolerable here than the old boards.

I tend to ignore him, but when you start coming out saying that you're okay with head hunting and that you're glad Alonso laid that hit, etc, etc., and blatantly ignore several views that said the hit was illegal for many reasons, it's trolling in my eyes.

I like big hits and I like a vicious game where defenders destroy opponents, but there are legal ways to do it that don't involve blowing up the head of a player.

He’s done more obvious trolling in his day. lol

That would be why I have zero tolerance now. If this were like you or RavensDFan or RavensMania, it'd be different, but this dude has been a troll for a while and this doesn't feel like just having a different opinion; it feels like clear trolling.

This is the internet. Even @RavensDFan and @ratedr are dudes.

Tank, my fans are actually implying I'm too rough for this forum and maybe I should be dismissed from it because of that! >:D if Bernard pollard doesn't put that hit on steven ridley, do you think we win that game and the championship? without that hit the outcome becomes very debatable. (It became a 14 point swing and their last possession they needed a TD, not a field goal.)

maybe we put it this way, do you think joejoe will charge the mark to gain like that again? and if he doesn't charge it again why not? they have certainly made rule changes to make the game "kinder and gentler" but it is still football and defense still alters games.

yes, my theory of football is you must have intimidators to dissuade the offense from doing what they try to do. the big hit cannot be overestimated. there are times to take the unnecessary roughness penalty and concede the yardage. harball don't agree with that, but show me a linebacker that can deliver a perfectly timed shoulder or break a ballcarriers collarbone with a head on stop and I'll show you a playoff team.

now theres some hurt feelings here, but the rules classroom is over. some kids just aren't gonna advance regardless of the teachers efforts, but for some to not understand the shoulder is still a huge part of the game and that a quarterback does NOT get instant, "you can't touch me", forcefield when he begins to drop to the ground after a yardage gaining scramble is inexcusable. those positions were actually argued in this thread, that a defender must recognize when a qb begins his bailout!

The ballcarrier has NOT given himself up until he drops other than his hands or feet to the ground. the rule is clear.

anyways, those dang stealers did it again. Don't even want Bryant anymores, give me JuJu Smith Shuster or give me the 1st pick in the draft!
