All that matters is whether Flacco is good enough to win a ring. He had a shit season but I still think a fair amount of the offense's lack of production can be attributed to the lack of weapons and supporting cast. Outside of Collins and Woodhead we did not have the best production. Ozzie's unwillingness to more aggressive address the offense last offseason was predictably our undoing this season ON THE WHOLE. Defense may have collapsed down the line, but they were the only reason we were in the position to make the playoffs in the first place.
I still think Flacco is good enough to win us a ring based off of the back half of the season and that he still displays traits. Personally I think James Urban is going to do wonders for the guy's mechanics and thank fuck for that. I don't think he's in a regression even if that ACL tear robbed him of some of his mobility that he displayed towards the beggining of his career.
That said. If Ozzie and co think that Flacco is superman.. Then we are utterly fucked. He needs better weapons in the passing game. He needs an upgrade or two on the oline(and no.. Alex Lewis should NOT be at guard under any circumstances. If we have the opportunity to draft Nelson and pass him up even for Calvin Ridley Ozzie and Harbaugh should be fired immediately for stupidity and incompetence). We need to find our identity on the offensive side of the ball.
All that said. Flacco needs to play better, but if we improve our supporting cast I'd trust him to get to the postseason. Putting him in a tier has and will always be pointless because of how inconsistent the dude is. When he's on his A-game: he's impossible to play against due to his cannon for an arm. When he's not he's as bad as Sanchez was. No point.
Here's to hoping that Flacco actually improves this offseason and that Ozzie makes improvements.
