RB Thread

He may not be great at pass protecting. Not sure about that yet. But they also dont ever throw him the ball. The most receptions hes had was his freshman year. And why wouldnt you give him more than 15 touches a game?
I'm not saying he can't, but until I know he can, I can't call him a first rounder.
Because he's 190 something pounds. He's light, really light. It is what it is, he isn't a workhorse, or he's going to take a beating before his rookie season is over. And when you have that sort of build you better be a good receiver (see Kamara, Woodhead, McCaffrey), which right now, we're not sure Love is. My point being, right now unlike what you said earlier, I have too many questions to have him as a first round prospect. He'll have time to answer those (and add some weight), so we'll see where his stock is during the predraft process.

His weight doesnt look like a problem on tape. But thats just me

The likely tandem of Collins-Dixon-Woodhead will make taking a RB early on an impossibility unless Saquon Barkley mysteriously falls to us(stranger things have happened though).

As much as I like some of these guys(Chubb) I doubt we take them.

Ozzie is always taking absences very seriously. He's not counting on Dixon and Woodhead to be available all season long.

Yes which means we are likely taking one in the mid rounds if that.

We have more pressing needs. Oline needs work, and WR corps does too. Might need to double dip if we are being totally honest.

We do, but how much will Ozzie listen to needs? I wouldn't exclude him falling in love with Guice in the 1st or Penny in the second.

If you don't know this guy he makes really nice reviews and points out interesting stuff to watch on tape

Ive watched a lot of his reviews in the past, but this is after watching a bunch of tape for myself first.
Of course, I do that as well. Just comparing what I see with what someone who's clearly got more knowledge than me in scouting sees is what I like.

For a midround back, how about Ralph Webb from Vanderbilt? Has great burst through the line, enough speed to turn plays into huge gains, and really good hands. He's like a faster Buck Allen. He can be a special teamer (maybe a returner) his rookie season and can take Woodhead's spot the next year.

Bryce Love is one of the toughest players i have ever scouted. Hes played through a high ankle sprain since the second week of october.
