The WR Thread

what if a team picks a player but in a different spot?
coz that happened to me with the bears and leonard floyd and i imagine it happened to most people with the niners and solomon thomas this year
A couple yrs ago the skins screwed me up by taking Scherff. If they took Leonard Williams I may have had about or 9 right in the first 10 picks,

Yes, still 2 pts. I do this because we aren’t doing trades in the mock. I do one for the hell of it as well, but the others don’t.

We should all do this on the Forum and submit the mock the day of the draft. We could create a thread specifically for the mock.

haha that could be cool - although i think doing anything more than the 1st round would become a little demoralising...

By my rough estimate, about 200 draftable players.

Idk if he will be but I sure as shit hope so.

I think he's stiff and slow, not top speed slow but movement slow, He's an arm catcher, I just don't like him. It's true he tracks the deep ball well and tends to get behind guys but I don't see him attack the ball and I don't see him box out. I think his absolute ceiling is mike Wallace who is another stiff speedster with questionable and timid hands, but he's a lot stiffer and heavier looking than Wallace, and I think he's gonna have a much harder time reaching that potential.
For a 'stiff' guy hes able to adjust to the deep ball very well. The thing I love most about Washington is that he fully aware of his flaws as a reciever and puts in the work to become better. He is so refined in the things he does well and tbh...he may be one of the most polished deep threats ive seen in a while. Now thats not saying he has the most potential of all deep threats but when it comes down to technique hes the master. He gets hands off him immediatly in press, uses different route stems for the few routes he does run. Never fails to stack the corner, boxes out and fights back to the ball. Isnt easily run off his track to the ball (something mike wallace struggles with) and is able to track and locate the deep ball better than anyone in the country except maybe Ridley. I do not see an arms catcher when i watch his tape what so ever. The only time he does that is when hes catching passes over the shoulder. From what i see on tape, hes much more comfortable using his hands than Courtland Sutton is. I see Sutton allow a lot of balls hit his chest because he doesnt extend his arms and reach for the ball with his hands. On deep ins, outs, curls, and screens, I always see washington catch with his hands.

No, Washington probably wont ever be a true #1 and no i wouldnt pick him at 16 but as a second round pick he could be a better version of Torrey Smith/Mike Wallace. Which, in our offense, im ok with. Add in a good vertical TE, with Washington, and a solid running game and our offense should open up. Throw in another slot reciever later in the draft or through FA and our pass offense looks a lot better.

He’s built more like a RB than a WR

We need to open up a damn scouting firm with people from this board.

We could make some money off of you guys.

Yes please lol. Now where do i sign
Legit most of you guys that study film and study draft prospects are smarter than the mainstream “experts”. It seems like a crazy idea but I feel like it would be something that could actually happen.

That being said it was my idea and nobody better steal it without including me haha

Didn't u just call me out for overdrafting moore in 2nd now your defending yourself after someone says your overdrafting someone?

I actually agree with you. Fuck waiting for value. Get good players... well players you think will be good.
Everyone shit on the cowboys for taking Travis Frederick in the first, small school jerry rice in the first was a head scratcher as well. My point is, if the player is gonna be good, who gives a shit if the media ranks them lower than where he's picked? I have a hard time believing that a lot of players that go between 16 and 48 are gonna produce more than miller, I'll say mark andrews and a few rbs are the only skill position guys after 16 who are gonna produce at a level like Miller.

worh noting that I don't actually think Moore is a good pick in the 2nd, not due to media influence but because he's incredibly raw and a project, and something we definitely don't do well is develop WRs
