The WR Thread

Has anyone watched any tape of Allen Lazard, the 6'5 WR out of Iowa State. He has a huge catch radius and a ton of natural ability. I love his ability to break tackles threaten all levels of the defense. Could be huge steal in this draft.

Idk why but he reminds me of DGB when he came out a few years back without off the field issues. I doubt he is a #1 at the next level but I can see Lazard as that #2 or #3 guy that dominates in the red zone.

I totally agree and with his ability to win with physicality I could see him being targeted by the Ravens on day 2. He needs to become a better route runner, but I could absolutely see him dominating DB's at the next level.

He has difficulty in press at times and it's due to his footwork. If he's coachable he will get much better at it. Still love him as a prospect though.
like i said his footwork is inconsistent but when its on it looks really good.

what he needs is reps and coaching, he clearly has everything he needs, hes sudden, natural hands catcher, superb athlete, great foot quickness(maybe foot quickness is the term im looking for over footwork) along with a little body control to go with it all. when he learns how to apply his foot quickness situationally, and the same for all his other talents, hes gonna be an excellent big play guy.

He has all the tools and I think he can become a monster but he needs development... Something the Ravens have struggled with when it comes to wide receivers.

Another receiver we could consider is Deontay Burnett and while he does his best work from the slot, he has good potential. He's definitely quicker than he is fast and could stand to bulk up. He has some really good agility and explosiveness. He is also a very clean route runner with good hands and was Darnold's go to receiver this year.

He was great in that game vs Oklahoma state but ultimately he just looks too slow to me to consistently get separation in the nfl maybe if he switched to tight end he could work - I like him and his size and potential but his 40 yard time and 3 cone drill are gonna tell me a lot about how I feel about him

He was a 4 star recruit and produced all season long. Had the game winner vs oklahoma and probably the best at contested catches in this class. Trusts his hands and creates seperation through strength and size.

I’m not saying he’s undraftable - but he looks like a day 3 guy

Washington has some pretty big hands and really long arms.

Also, nice seeing Tate come in at basically the same size as Colston was.
