The routes concepts are very basic from my evaluations of today, it's really a bunch of streak and slant routes, which is common in a WCO but you need to make DBs question and hesitant and where a WR is going.
Your QB also has to flat out put the ball in his receivers hands. It just doesn't get more simple than that and Joe has issues doing that. He's either not waiting long enough for the play to develop, not on the same page as his receivers, or missing his guys. Just so many reasons why and I've seen Wallace get plenty of separation and DBs and too many times Joe has mis-fired. Even I get frustrated from it and I do not blame Mike Wallace at all if he has something to say about it tomorrow, he should be very frustrated after today. Joe just doesn't seem dependable anymore and bad QB play is starting to become expected to me. He needs to step up and get his guys involved or else this team will begin thinking about other avenues.
You can't keep firing OC's either, it's a bad look for a HC sometimes.
Harbaugh's missed the playoffs 3/4 years. He's on the verge of getting fired if he misses it again this year, extension or not. I've been saying that since the beggining. I'd honestly have no issues him going. He'd be hired elsewhere though.
Flacco has turned into a massive problem for us since Kubiak left. Sure, Ozzie decided to go "fuck it" and not give him much protection, but he's still missing throws and whatnot. We can't get rid of him due to that contract, but it might be high time to draft another QB early. Even if it's just to push competition.
The good news is, Flacco seems to be self aware that he's a problem given his interviews this and last year. So maybe, just maybe, he'd be willing to take a fucking paycut next season: but I doubt it. Sadly, he has a damn good agent.
I still think even with the bad loss, so many people are overreacting. It's the NFL. Any given sunday any team can win. Blowing up the team and rebuilding would be totally asinine, even if we decided to draft a QB early on(sure. Let's not give the QB a talented defense, or a decent WR corps. BRILLIANT). Look at Chicago. They have a team that is far worse than Jacksonville's and they still beat a team with an elite offense. Jacksonville isn't as bad as even I thought they were going to be. That defense is damn talented. Calling for a rebuild with a 2-1 record is the definition of illogical. Especially since for all we know, this could be an anomaly. We've lost games in blowouts in seasons we've made the playoffs before. Not this bad? Sure. But really how different is a 40 point loss than a 30 point loss(by ten points, sure, but at the end of the day it's humiliating). For all we know ,we could bounce back next week. And guess what, we'd have the division lead by a clear cut mile. In fact, we're still in first place lol..
Giving up and demanding a rebuild, and blowing up the team? Even if we do draft a QB high, is DUMB. Sorry. I agree, Flacco needs to play a hell of a lot better. He's become a liability. But calling for a full-scale rebuild? Wow. That's desperate. Sure, let's trade away all of our pieces when honestly we are an offensive line and being healthy again away from being a good team again. That makes so much sense....
