Just so everybody knows... I commented about playing for Miami because I was talking to a former Sooner in Kenny Stills. Everybody can relax, I will play anywhere that gives me a chance. I'm not picky, I will go anywhere and strive to uplift a franchise and win ball games.

Mayfield's passing chart is next-level, inconsistent mechanics or not.
That said, I got bored and went through the college passing stats of every QB selected in the first two rounds in the past 10 years (plus a few in the third and fourth). No QB managed to achieve a 70% collegiate career record, but out of the 43 QBs I looked at six did better than 70% in their final season (Mayfield managed 70.5%):

Brandon Weeden
Russell Wilson
Teddy Bridgewater
Geno Smith
At first blush that's a 50% strike rate, but all three of the duds on that list were from the Big 12 (and the other three are quality QBs, Bridgewater's injury aside). I'm not usually a college stats guy (I get that schemes and personnel vary hugely, and that the trend is only the trend until it's broken - at which point it's onto the next trend) but I thought that dichotomy was interesting.
And fwiw, five QBs went below 60% through their collegiate careers, as well as in their final season (Josh Allen is 56.2% and went 56.3% this previous season gone by):

Josh Freeman
Jake Locker
Christian Hackenberg
Matt Ryan (a really weird name on a list like that, but his BC career stats were 59.9%).
Sam Bradford and DeShone Kizer did better than 60% in their careers but fell below that mark in their final seasons, while Matt Stafford, Colin Kaepernick and Ryan Mallett were the opposite (better in their final seasons, but below 60% in their college careers). Again those stats on their own don't have to mean anything and I haven't gotten around to seeing Allen's tape yet, but that's a watermark I got curious about.

Do you guys see Lamar Jackson as a WR like Bill Polian does? Lol, I haven't seen that many games of Lamar's, but I wish I knew what evidence that Bill had to make that claim. Is he a good route runner? Can he catch? Etc, etc.

I think a team would be idiotic to try to make him a WR. The guy has improved a lot at passing and can be the next Russel Wilson.

I would be in favor of asking Denver what it wants for Chad Kelly. He is throwing again and very very impressive. He can effortlessly sling it 80 yards with accuracy. Run a 4.6 40 and everybody I talked to that knows anything about him. Says he is very intelligent and crafty. Sure there’s his incidents of 19 year old male testosterone. But not like he is hitting girls, failing drug tests, and acting like Robby Anderson. And as for raw skills. There isn’t a QB that will be available to draft at 16 or later that could compare. Mayfield is good but not even close to Chad Kelly’s arm skill!!

He’s still a run first qb, unlike Wilson. He doesn’t keep his eyes downfield, just tucks ams runs and way too soon. Agree, would be stupid to convert him to wr unless they were able to draft him late, which won’t happen. He will get overdrafted.
I’m not sure I’d draft him as a qb though either lol - he’s a hyperathletic playmaker who sometimes happens to be a qb but I’m not sure that makes him especially feasible as a high pick
Agree, but it only takes 1 team To feel he is worth it.
Oh yeah - I want loads of teams to feel that way and hopefully enough feel that way that he gets taken before the 16th pick

That's why I'm hoping Lamar is there at 16 so we can benefit from a potential trade down. I could see Buffalo trading up ahead of Arizona to ensure they get Lamar. Or if Lamar is there at 16, maybe the Saints see him as the future after Brees and they trade with us and jump the Bills and give us a first round pick in 2019(going off the Bills-Chiefs Trade and Browns-Texans Trade from last year) so we could have 2 first round picks.

Yeah, I would be ecstatic if we got a bidding war between Arizona and Buffalo for Lamar at 16. I'd be happy if we got the Bills' second round pick. Grab someone like Pryce or Kirk in the twenties and then have two second round picks to also help bolster the offense.
Why Arizona? They pick before us anyway
