Even after the uplift in play? I would have before the resurgence but not sure now
i would be happy to take mayfield just because he looks like he could be a BPA type pick there - mason rudolph no thanks until day 3

According to Albert Breer, SI. He has been talking to many teams scouting executives and they see Baker Mayfield going top 10.

Mayfield will be gone
I'm thinking (or at least really hoping) we get January Joe early next year. Once the brace was off and he seemed fully healed, we saw flashes of Playoff Flacco. With him being 100% this offseason and going into the next season, we'll probably be fine at QB. I'd only grab a late round guy as a possible replacement to Mallet and someone that could follow Joe after a few years so we don't have to start from scratch.Would anyone pick mason rudolph round 2?
Flaccos resurgence the second half of the season has left me in a conundrum. Prior to that I'd def have picked a qb in rd 1 or 2 if mayfield happened to be there or Rudolph in rd 2.
Now im not so sure... would it be a wasted pick?
My friend Heard Charles Davis on XM talking about Baker Mayfield and he said Baker Mayfield is a complete gym/film room rat, which is great for any team that drafts him. I like Mayfield, but didn't like seeing him struggle against teams that have the athletes to take away his immediate read and still keep him in the pocket, which is IMO the downfall of quite a few QBs that came from simplistic offenses and had their first and second read open more times than not. I still say he's not a day 1 starter unless he's on a loaded roster, but being that gym/film room rat would really help him with the transition to running a pro offense in the NFL.
I agree, I saw him going through his progressions and micing defenders with his eyes, which is great for a college player. I don’t believe there is anyway he goes below 16, which will help push more players down to us.He showed some progression (if you’ll pardon the pun) in his bowl game for me - I saw him reading the field and looking off defenders and manipulating the defence - if he’s a film room guy then he’s only gonna get better at that stuff which he already seems to have a natural ability with - add that to the fact that he’s not gonna measure under 6 feet tall and he’s got nice movement skills (would like to see him move within the pocket better though) and that when he scrambles he’s still looking to pass and fundamentally he looks to me like he’s a good player - I’m gonna have to rejig my qb rankings potentially because the more I see of mayfield the more I like him
My biggest concern with mayfield (in the tape I’ve seen so far) is whether he has the natural mechanics and arm strength to deliver accurately down the field on time to the outside... (that seems specific) and it’s most certainly one of the things I’ll be looking for in more film
Or he goes 16 after the Bills give us a king's ransom.I agree, I saw him going through his progressions and micing defenders with his eyes, which is great for a college player. I don’t believe there is anyway he goes below 16, which will help push more players down to us.
If I'm the Browns, I'd sign veteran QB short term, then go Josh Allen #1, Fitzpatrick #4.
Yes. I think his upside is through the roof. Should have stayed in college but since he already declared, stash him behind a veteran and coach him hard, without the risk of burning out with pressure.Allen ahead of Rosen and Darnold?
Agree with the veteran qb, but a trade down from 1 and draft defense. Bradley Chubb and Maurice Hurst to their front would be ridiculous. If I'm the Browns, I'd sign veteran QB short term, then go Josh Allen #1, Fitzpatrick #4.

If you have the luxury of grooming him his arm is better suited for the north.Allen ahead of Rosen and Darnold?
No comparison. If you have the luxury of grooming him his arm is better suited for the north.
Their defensive front is pretty solid as it is. Would be wasted opportunity to finally find decent young QB. Fitzpatrick is defense. And not just defense, he's the best player overall in this draft.Agree with the veteran qb, but a trade down from 1 and draft defense. If they weren’t stupid they’d still have McCown for thatIf I'm the Browns, I'd sign veteran QB short term, then go Josh Allen #1, Fitzpatrick #4.
