The issue I have with this idea that a new coordinator or better weapons would help is that Flacco hasn't shown consistent accuracy, good ball placement, or good decision making to have me think that any of this is true.Cutting that many players along with some restructures on defense could make enough room to cut Flacco. However, I’d be more comfortable giving him another year with an offensive coordinator that knows what he is doing. Is he going to fix Flacco’s mechanics. No, but he could get more out of him like Kubiak did back in 2014. That’s what we need. Flacco’s got some major flaws to his game without question, but so do the players around him. Flacco isn’t a qb that makes the p,Ayers around him better, like Brady and Rodgers. He needs weapons.
Sure, a jump ball receiver like AJ Green or a receiver who can run the length of the field in the blink of an eye like DeSean Jackson probably helps, but Flacco has too many flaws for me to actually believe there's any real hope.
