The Good, the Bad, the Ugly, and the Ravens Offense: Week 6 Edition

Harbs always tells they need to run the ball more to win games. Then why didn't you run on 3&2 in OT? I think we need to move on from Perriman and Maxx. 1st they don't play well and 2nd they're injured most of the time. Srsly can't wait for Hill, B.Will and Canady to return. Jefferson isn't comfortable playing deep. Webb is better suited to play FS. Weddle needs to stop eating his cookies and icecream!

Oline is performing well given our current IR situation. ST seemes to be back.

to be fair they had like 4 straight drives where they straight up ruined the bears offence and gave the offence repeated chances to win - if the offence wasnt gonna do anything the only thing left to happen was for the defence to break - like the defence literally got the stop that gave camp the return, that gave the ravens a half chance at winning inside regulation, they got the stop to give us great field position for our first offensive drive of overtime - eventually they were gonna break because they just had to...

so i cant say the defence wet the bed when the only way they dont eventually break is if they score the points themselves and dont have to face another drive, and another, and another
That is true but at the same time it's disgraceful how bad we are against the run. We haven't been giving 160y a game with Williams in but we've been giving 100s easy, so that isn't an excuse.

I'm sick of the the Ravens image created by Harbaugh. Bring the nasty back. This is bullshit.

I'm not saying they played a bad game, but when it matters most they seem to collapse one way or the other and it's been a trend.

In terms of Chris Moore, this team needs to give guys opportunities, he literally had more yards on one drive then Perriman had on the entire season, just how great was Perriman to prevent Moore from seeing the field? Willie Henry was inactive for a while before being forced into the lineup and he's done well for himself.

I think you got to start looking towards Moore and Camp more because this offense is going nowhere trying to get Perriman involved and I was someone who has supported the guy for a long time but I just can't do it anymore.

I just can’t believe after all that...we give up a 50 yard run in overtime because Weddle not only missed a tackle, he flat out fell off Howard’s back. But we wouldn’t be in position for that to happen if it wasn’t for our 6 3 and outs. I’m sick of them giving the ball to Buck instead of Collins. I’m sick of Joe throwing 40 times. Get Marty out of here. Get Weddle out of here. Get Webb out of here. And fucking kill me while you’re at it because I can’t deal with this anymore.
Awful game plan and even worse play calling and execution

Where's our boy joeyflex to talk about the tremendous upside to Perriman??

Perriman is a complete bust. I have seen enough to know he will never turn it around . EVER.

Another 1st rounder that has gone the way of Travis Taylor and Mark Clayton.

The good: ST, and defense.

To start the game we were stuffing the run in a big way, and not allowing much from Trubisky. As per usual our horrible, ugly offense forced our already banged up defense to be overused and winded and as a result we allow a 53 yard rush in OT as well as plenty of Bears offensive production as the game went on in regulation and with no offense to answer, we have no chance. But still our banged up D played well, forced turnovers but ultimately got let down by our offense yet again.

The bad: Offense

What else is new? Too much running, conservative play calling leading to tons of 3&outs, ugly plays by guys like Breshad Perriman and Maxx Williams who are given yet the upteenth opportunity given our weak receiving corps. And they do what they do best after being over drafted...get injured, and both cause turnovers to add some sprinkles to their piss poor careers. Alex Collins continues to shine, make plays and yet it's all for naught.

The Ugly/Consistently awful horrible: Marty Mornenwhig.

Either fire Mornewhig or fire the guy taking up for him through weeks of horrendous offensive outputs- John Harbaugh.

Harbs keeps saying 'We won't make changes, we just have to get better". IM OVER IT! The city of Baltimore is over it. John there is a gigantic need for changes specifically on offense, an area you have little to no expertise, and your clear cut and apparent love and affection for your Eagle buddy Marty Mornewhig is wearing off very fast, and it's wearing into your impact on this franchise as a head coach.

Brian Billick was also great, fun, and respectable for a while, but when push comes to shove, ya need to put the best coaching staff out there and Marty Mornewhig as the leader of our league worst offense is NOT THE ANSWER

Time for changes and if I'm Steve Biscotti after years of no playoff runs and consistently falling out of a division easily within our grasp...I posted a couple weeks ago, this might be the end of a 10 year Superbowl champion era, that has simply not found it's groove after XLVII.

Dude I'm not going to lie, I talked about his potential all day in the old board and thought the guy was going to be a beast, he can still do it but the chances are very minimal and his confidence looks shot, not to mention that he can't be relied upon to stay on the field.

Even if you fire Marty this offense is still not going to improve, not much is going to change and sadly we're going to have a headache of an offense again.

i would not put the defense in the good category .Yes they played better than the offense but they were gashed by the Bears running game
Gotta say I think at one point it seemed like they were getting 6-8 yards a carry on 1st down.

When you fire Harbaugh which is highly probable if the season continues like this, they all will go.
At the end of the season .

he's broken and he probably needs a change of scene - my only fear with him at this point, as it always is, is that he'll go to another team and absolutely kill it

Put a fork in this guy. He's already hurt again. Missed practice this week because of a knee issue. Now he has a concussion.
This guy is not NFL material.

This. After the ugly plays by both Perriman and Maxx Williams that both lead to turnovers and yet another injury to players clearly over drafted and wasted...I said if I were Ozzie Newsome I would waive both of them and not think twice.

Of course I got called 'a moron' and nearly got banned for simply laughing and arguing the facts that both Perriman and Williams have had too much time to do something yet have both consistently failed and been injury prone, and today in 2 easily catchable and game changing opportunities they both fumble/ cause int, and get injured.

Lol I'm done.

I was critical of our D last week, and since we were without our top 2 run stuffers in BWill and Carl Davis, I thought we played well this week. For a while, especially in the first half we were dominating the run. 2-3 plays we caused nearly -10 yards rushing. But as I said, the game went on and since we couldn't do anything on offense our hurt defense stood no chance.

But other than JHowards 53 yard OT run, we held him to 3 yards per carry, and given a back of his stature without 2 starting run stuffers, I tip my hat to the defense and flip the bird to Marty Mornenwhig

I agree I’d like to see Moore play more. But really? One could argue Perriman hasn’t been given an opportunity to succeed either. I don’t care if he drops a freaking pass. Keep throwing it to him. What the hell makes all you people freak out on him now but not last game. One bad play and the world is over.
