The Good, the Bad, the Ugly, and the Ravens Offense: Week 6 Edition

Take as much time as you need.

I'm just really curious about what the issues are with this offense. Is it really that there's no talent and the offensive play calling is really that bad or are we seeing the twilight of Joe's career? Or a healthy mix?
Much appreciated. I work for a software company that works with school so my calendar month work wise has been absolutely brutal, but it looks like it may slow down moving forward, meaning I should have some spare time on the daily. I would wager toward the mix, but I'll make sure to look for the details.

I'm honestly amazed by how little consistency there is week to week.
I can’t disagree and I’m not going to blame the injuries anymore. I’m going to try and enjoy the remainder of the season, this is only a football game, and then hope we solve most of rhe offensive struggles in the offseason and draft,

I'd bet on a mix, too, but I want a detailed breakdown because there are people who want to completely absolve Joe of any blame.

Is it always busy throughout the school year or just during the fall start up?

I just don't see it the way a lot of people do where we need an entire overhaul. I'd love to see another quality lineman here to play LG and I would love to see a younger tight end to compliment Boyle and Watson. An alpha receiver would be nice, but not totally necessary. I personally think the offense is closer to being a bright point than many think.

I’d Agree that we don’t need a complete overhaul, but Marty isn’t the guy to run this offense.

It’s never as bad or as good as it seems.

Dixon I’d he stays healthy and out of trouble could be an awesome back.
Yes, and if my aunt could grow cojones she could be my uncle. lol

No question. Seems in the last 5 years we have had all these guys with the “what if” or “could be” description, both at RB and WR. None of them have really panned out, maybe Kenneth will.

man isn't the problem clear? joe is joe. same guy now he was in 2012. he can do it with the right supportin cast, but he can't do it alone. they paid him like he can do it alone but he cant. now he aint throwin to boldin and t. smith, thunder and lightin. he's throwin to guys that suck and that's the truth. moore, perriman, even Wallace. they suck. Wallace can run a route some but then is gassed til the next series. joejoe is a throw when they ain't ready qb. and not the dinky dunk. he needs to heave it and we are not providing him enough to use his talent. should have traded him two years back. bad talent and the whole predicament is on the shoulders of the two men that like to say the drafted players aint steppin up. the whole enchilada is on them. the whole fiesta they own.

should have known what joejoe was but they didn't. I said judon was their best drafted guy that draft. still think they lucked out on that one.

I think we would have seen a very similar situation for the Ravens if the ball weren't turned over because the running game was really putting the offense in a position to score.

Also, I think Diggs returned to the game.
Diggs returned but could not do anything. Was inactive today.

People talk about Perriman being a bust and needing to be cut. But what about Wallace? I’m so tired of Wallace having a great game every once in a while and then just completely freaking disappearing. I wanted to drop him this past offseason because he did this same thing last year. I just want some consistency lol

So what do the Ravens do about Weddle? He’s an extremely smart player that obviously makes the secondary better, but is consistently overmatched physically. His inability to tackle is killing us at times.

Question is- what can you really do this year? With Webb being forced into the nickel role, you can't really sub them out or have a three man unit on the field at once. At this point, I don't think you can really do much.

Problem was and is, he’s all we got. Looks like Maclin is made of glass and Perriman, well......... I’d like to see Matthews and Moore get more reps, maybe they can step up.

His tackling has been an issue. But to single out that specific play, he probably would have taken him down if he hadn’t gone for the strip on Howard. Which pisses me off even more.

Draft Ronnie Harrison, let him pick Weddle's brains while he's still around
