2018 Free Agency

Dude don’t even try it. Trying to make him out to be this irreplaceable player that dominates. That stretch of games were the tougher teams we Played. There is NOTHING special or irreplaceable about him. Like the run defense would crumble without Brandon Williams. And we would be helpless to replace him if he left. The run defense will be terrible every year if Williams were to leave. Like I said how many teams even employ a one dimensional run stuffer. But management signed him. And that alone makes it the best move possible. If all these decisions are so great y does the team suck

Yall seriously over reacting on us not trading for Landry. I mean did you seriously think we would pay him $14+ million a year lol.

Also hearing everyone say the browns have a better roster than us now after adding just 2 players (who are probably overrated tbh) is an over reaction. Landry isnt a top 5 reciever and probably borderline top 10 in this league (if that), and we all saw how limited Tyrod Taylor is last season especially in that playoff game

I was relieved we didn't sign him. Sure he's a good player, but I also didn't want to pay a #2 receiver #1 money. Absolutely not.
Landry could easily be a WR 1 on our team. Look at it like this:

Example: We have Wallace and Chris Moore as deep threats, we draft a rookie like Cain to be our future star, but for now he’s our WR 2 or 3. Landry is our guy for intermediate routes. Landry catches 80-90 balls and averages 12-13 yards a catch with a healthy Flacco. I dont care if he’s catching the ball out of the damn backfield, he’s our #1 receiver. Landry can also be a touchdown machine if given the right opportunities. But just because he’s in the slot he wouldn’t be our #1?

It’s 2018, slot WRs are very important. Frankly, I don’t care about paying a slot WR big money, i.e. 12 million. If he’s getting the same production as a #1 WR on the outside, who cares? I don’t.

On a team like the Falcons or Bengals that has a big true #1, Landry can be the best #2 in football. But if he was on the Ravens, just like the Dolphins, he would be OUR #1 and I’d be perfectly fine with that if we have good complimentary pieces.

All the Browns really did was overpay for 2 GOOD players. They had the capitol and the money to spend and they need all the help they can get. Everyones acting like they got Julio Jones and Kirk Cousins on their team....

We will have to agree to disagree. I don't see Landry as a number 1, just a slot that catches a lot of balls. He's a talented receiver yes, but I don't want to pay him that much money to be a slot receiver for us when we will need a good outside receiver.

Especially when you can get similar production from a guy like Kirk in the draft as a day 2 pick.

Well I saw what he signed for so it would have got done. An hour ago the problem was raiders upping the deal and we couldn’t afford that much. Now we may not have retained him for what he actually signed for?? I get it your team made the decision to not sign him. And it like every decision is the best decision possible!!

Your right a team can’t keep them all. Management chose nearly washed up Weddle and Watson. and mediocre Mike Wallace over their young bull. When the playoffs are missed again then we can talk about all these great decisions. And as always. “ The Best Decision possible”

Oh well that's cool. I don't think The Ravens are perfect though or that they always make the best decisions.

Wait wait wait, “many thought he was held back by Tannehill but......”

But what? Jay Cutler this season was so much worse than any season Tannehill has had. But......?
Talking about Wallace? You know, but........ the guy that was claimed to be held back by Tannehill, but has not really improved or lived up to what many thought he would be in Baltimore? Saying the same could end up being the case with Landry, you don’t know, do you.

LMAO! You guys should really chill. Landry was never going to be a Raven, not this year anyway.

Yeah. We just need to wait and see what happens.

No cuz it’s one year. Landry isn’t even my fav option. And if we did trade for him we would need a Brice Butler deep threat to go with him. But to pretend we are better off not signing him when we never fronted an an his prime elite chains mover. And WRs are always refurbished old models. It is lying to yourself. Cuz we didn’t get him. Most of these same peeps would be all amped up if we traded for him. But since we didn’t writing it off oh we are better off without him. Thats down rite homerism. Every decision is the best decision by management. No different than when an ugly girl is dumped and her friends say you are better off without him. Your to good 4 him. Here have more cupcakes.lol. When realistically getting dumped sucks
I had no preference either way, if we signed him I would've been downright pissed about the currency we had to give up and the cap space it would've taken to sign him, but I also would've been really excited because I myself am a Jarvis Landry fan and would've liked to see a savvy sure handed aggressive guy here. You don't need to lean hard one side or the other, there are pros and cons and gray area to a lot of shit in this world, and somewhere in that gray area tends to lie the rational point of view.

You can be upset about the money while being excited about the player, just like you can be disappointed missing out on a guy while being relieved about not breaking the bank.

I haven’t been this pissed off about an offseason for a long time now. Maybe since we traded Boldin. There’s absolutely no reason for me to be excited for next year. Yea I know FA hasn’t even started yet but look at the options and look at our cap space. We’re not winning any bidding wars. My money is on Maclin staying. Marty is still calling plays. Our offense looks absolutely abysmal. Calvin Ridley isn’t gonna change that if he even makes it to our pick. We’re fucked.
Calvin Ridley changes a shit ton if he ends up here lol what do you mean? We go from Chris Moore, Perriman, and maclin, to Ridley, Perriman and Moore, while cutting maclin and saving a big chunk of money for FA sinings

My eyes must be going.
I could swear the ticker read that The Patriots are to receive Danny Shelton and a fifth round pick in exchange for a third rounder in 2019

He at least scored on you guys last year. What did Hundley put up on your defense?
I believe Kevin Hogan was the only Browns QB to score on us last year. He also led the Browns to their only other points in that game, that being the FG. Their only TD in the second game came off of the backs of Isaiah Crowell and Duke Johnson, who amassed 74 rushing yards on that drive along with the score. The Browns did manage a 45 yard FG to end the half, but those were the only points in two games that Kizer could be accredited for. In those games, Kizer was responsible for a combined 328 passing yards, 51 rushing yards, 0 TDs, 5 INTs, 2 lost fumbles, and a QB rating of 34.4.

Yes that did just happen. Thats what happens when teams dont have any leverage. Browns had no place for Shelton in their 4-3 defense and Pats needed a run stuffer. Kinda how the Dolphins had no leverage with Landry

You’ve got me wondering........which is more? A shit ton or a fuck ton? lol
