Exactly, not to mention his ACL tear was on a non contact play. Those injuries haunt us, he'll break something while signing his contract with our luck.

The Jets are rolling with Bridgewater and McCown at QB as they just re-signed Josh McCown. If I'm the Jets GM, I see what Teddy has to offer and skip on a QB this year. Bridgewater is only 25 so he can still prove to be a franchise guy for someone.

if im mike mccagnan i realise i cant afford to miss on another qb so im bringing back mccown (which he has done for 1 year 10 mill), im getting teddy bridgewater on an incentive/bonus heavy deal and then im also drafting a qb at 6

the opportunity cost of skipping on a qb when you're in position to take one is incredibly high - you do whatever you can to get a franchise qb - there's no way they should be skipping on a 1st round qb for bridgewater... they cant trust or rely on bridgewater - they can hope that they end up with a dilemma of having 2 franchise qbs and then they get to pick their favourite and trade the other one away

Injury prone? Played all 16 games plus the playoffs in 2013 & 2014. In 2015, he missed the year with a torn ACL. He started all 16 games in 2016 and was named comeback player of the year. In 2017, he started all but one game.
