Theres nothing special about him apart from his hands, he catches everything. Maybe he can do some damage out of the slot.
 
DeCosta will be the first GM we will have fired in 3 years time. We need an outsider as a GM, someone with a fresh perspective. Doing this same exact routine we've done with Ozzie under DeCosta will be our downfall.

The deal contains $14.5 million guaranteed, including a $10 million signing bonus. Hard to disagree with anything Rotoworld's written there. His first four years he made 68 receiving yards, then 268, then 76 and then his career high of 573 yards last season (during which he logged 5 catches once).

tbf it wont be the college scouting dept who scouted these guys - itll be vince newsome and the pro scouting department who have notoriously been very good at this (maclin excepting)

I've seen him, he seems to make a good few tough grabs in clutch moments. He's got really good hands. One could reasonably see him as a poor mans jarvis Landry. Emphasis on poor, similar skillset but far lesser talent

It's a joke of a move. Ozzie needs to be fucking driven out of town. I don't want him affiliated with this organization anymore. At all. Take Decosta with him too. Both are fucking dead to me. He was doing well with John Brown. Sure he's got health concerns but if that motherfucker is healthy he can play.. Now we fucking do THIS.

And no. I don't want anyone here hired either. Go purge some young talented mind from the fucking Saints to be our GM

Overpaying Landry and sending Miami a few picks sure does sound good right about now huh?!? We are FUCKED, and I’m willing to bet these fucking idiotic coaches look at our WR corps and think it’s just fine and dandy. Wow have the mighty have fallen. This is absolutely sad.

Agreed, he was on my radar but I definitely did not expect us to pay up this much. It's not a terrible deal and certainly not one that could prevent us to have any flexibility in the future. We're still hard in search of a #2 but this makes the John Brown deal much better IMO because he won't have to shoulder the load much.

I’m extremely familiar wirh Ryan grant. Very good route runner and has been so since he was a rookie. As a rookie he ran routes like a veteran. I’d like to see what the team option is before panning the move. It’s probably a deal that is easy to get out of with not much dead money after yr 2. He also has very good hands.
 
i was hoping we'd at least have cap space next year..seems like this fo is doing everything possible to destroy flexibility with any chance they have..

We'll probably end up giving CJ mosely the biggest ILB contract in NFL history..it's scary to think that they were willing to pay brandon williams a HOF like salary..now a career backup 28 year old like grant?

CJ will be getting franchise QB money lol

In my perfect world we'd find the next McVay/Payton type and either chuck them in at OC for a couple of years before booting Harbaugh - or booting Harbaugh and jumping some offensive guru/acolyte straight to HC. That'd be the ideal way to start the post-Flacco era (being how important a system is to a QB's output), though it runs the obvious risk of ending up with Ben McAdoo instead of Sean Payton.
