2018 Free Agency

Provided Brown stays healthy and assuming our staff/coordinator/scheme can accentuate what Brown and Grant do well, we'll likely have a better room..

they are 2 very well coached players if nothing else - should hopefully change the culture of the room a bit - i just wish bobby engram wasnt still the wr coach

I think it's also worth mentioning that when Brown makes it onto the field, there's virtually no ball that he cannot run under. Flacco cannot overthrow him; it's literally not possible.
He can under throw the dickens out of him though.

So the guy who's been an injury concern most his career was injured and didn't fit with a qb who played about 6 good games. Maclin was cut for a reason. Let me remind you Ravens fans were hype about the choices of Eric Decker and Jeremy Maclin just a year ago. They are not meant to be #1 or 2 options at this point.

I'm not saying Maclin didn't fit with Joe Flacco but Flacco missing so much time from training and preseason obviously hindered his chemistry with Maclin. I think a healthy Maclin is still 1,000 yard receiver and honestly when it comes to Eric Decker it's fair to say that The Titans offense was just plain bad. There's a reason why they fired their head coach because he refuse to let go of his offensive coordinator.

We already do. These 2 have better hands than Perriman and Moore combined and can actually run routes

I am unsure of the policy on posting videos but just watch the second catch in the video below and it will give you nightmares of how many times we've had WR's give up on that play for interceptions. The dude can ball when he's healthy. I know that's a huge if, but I love this signing and I've watched a lot of Cardinals football over the last 2-3 years and he's been one of my favorite players on that team.

Lol, correct. He is now mostly underthrowing.
With regards to Brown... that dude would be getting $10 mil+ a year if healthy. He’s one of the better coached WRS in the game and is damn good at making adjustments.

I may be pissed and am overly critical. But I hate the money more than anything. Brown when healthy is one of the most explosive players in the entire league and at worst is a damn damn damn good deep threat. A massive upgrade over Wallace.

Grant’s contract pisses me off but he can catch the fucking ball underneath. Better than I can say about Chris Moore or Perriman. Honestly if the numbers weren’t a mess, I’d be a fan. It’s probably going to be a waste of money...... But he won’t fucking blow it for us down the line.

Get me Jordy Nelson too at this point. Elder statesmen sure but he can catch the damn ball. Then draft either Moore or Ridley early and this WR corps is a monumentally upgrades one from a year ago. We need a possession WR now.

Or we could fix the oline. Bigger fan of that plan. Hurst should never ever ever ever be starting under any circumstances ever.

Nelson meeting with the Raiders, could mean Crabtree out in Oakland.
Crabtree would be a fit here as a possession guy. With Brown’s injury history we still would need to find another guy after that though. We’ve needed a jump ball WR since Boldin was gone. Why not go get Jimmy Smiths worst enemy?

Im honestly glad we managed to find 2 decently talented WR at a low cost compared to the rest of the market. At worst we are stuck with Grant for 2 years. Seems like low risk high reward and i really think it could work out. If they can get these 2 guys on the feild im almost sure they will produce. Now we still need 2 draftees at wr and a TE. Im almost certain ozzie will still double dip in the draft

Not sure hed fit in the locker room after the Talib fight. I could be wrong though, maybe our locker room hates talib too

Is that the general consensus? I didnt know we were planning to move him.

Anyway Im hoping we draft Christian Kirk, I think he has the best career of this class.
He is a stud but i dont think he falls in our draft range unfortunately. I think he goes late 1st early second tbh

Honestly if Robert Grant actually turns out to be pretty good or overall better than he was last year than this statement may look silly. Albert Wilson who had a similar stat to Ryan Grant is expected to get a 24 million doller deal to my understand. Most of these wide receivers are getting paid more than expected.
Robert Grant? Haha you barely even know his name you can't tell me he's gonna be good. And apparently Grant is the number 1 WR right now. Wilson was the number 3 and surrounded by a good QB, OL, TE and RB. It's just hard to see a 27 year old career average player being miscast as a 1/2 receiver, becoming successful with this shitty supporting cast around him in Baltimore.
