2018 Free Agency

I would certainly look at Ebron because at the very least you hope he could be another Morris Claiborne, who did well last year despite struggles throughout his career. It obviously depends on the cost with that kind of gamble but I would certainly entertain the idea. Beggars can’t exactly be choosers. Frankly speaking, The Ravens need whoever will come here to play. Unfortunately, it looks like we’re going backwards in that regard on offense because people don’t seem like they want to come here. Who would when your QB is Joe Flacco who just hasn’t now looked good in a while.

Question: Look ahead in 4 years..

This offseason is about more than instant production. If Flacco stinks up the joint, then he's done here. Let's actually build up a Skelton around the fucking QB, whether it be Flacco or a new guy and let him grow in an ideal situation. This is a big offseason for Ozzie for more than just this reason. TEs may take awhile to develop, a year or two, but there isn't a better BFF for a rookie than a TE who can get open on third down.

And yes. I don't think he'd come in and dominate but a rookie could get the job done here.
Ebron is decent I'd like him here as a big slot option. But ya we're probably never gonna be able to afford a top TE or WR so we've gotta draft them. And a rookie TE or even WR being your no. 1 isn't ideal, but we shouldn't approach the off-season with a one year fix in mind. Realistically it's probably gonna take 2+ years to be a contender again so we just need to focus on getting the best (offensive) players we can.

So much for wanting to start. He'll likely take a back up job to Rosen once they draft him.

he didnt have much choice - he was the odd man out in the game of musical chairs - ironically he would have been better off not challenging the bengals on one of his years not being accredited and hit free agency next year...

I'm not sure why the Cardinals went with Bradford over McCarron. Worst case scenario with McCarron is you come up empty, which is almost a certainty with Bradford. Also, Bradford isn't the greatest QB to put behind a somewhat suspect line...

bradford's liability is obviously the degenerative knee condition but the last game he played was one of the best qb games ive seen since i started watching football... he was that good in week 1 this year...

and im fairly certain the cardinals are gonna take a high draft pick qb too if they can

I agree they'll take a QB but I feel like you're better off not spending $20M for Bradford when you know what you're getting, which is a handful of games and the rest on IR. It'll only be a matter of time before he steps on DJ's foot on a handoff and his knee explodes.

that's fair but mccarron has no body of work that suggests he's a starting calibre qb either... in fact he's not managed really to even create discussion about andy dalton as a starter in Cincinnati which says a lot tbh

1 bad career game = not worth it. I guess no one in nfl history is worth anything.....

The amount of ignorance in this post
All I remember of him is that he became our starter after showing out on our practice squad. He had that bad game vs new england and then left to the Patriots and that was the last ive heard of him till now. I thought he just disapeared.

Serious question: why is our cap so bad and how can we fix it?

He was absolutely balling for Colts last season, until he got injured with 4-5 games to play.
Apart from that game in NE, he played well for us, too.
