trade value chart numbers wise, yes that is correct. However we are essentially trading into 2nd round value territory and they would be trading up for a QB. Essentially, if they want one of these QB's they have to give up more than we are giving up and that's an additional pick to sweeten deal.I think if we trade our first round pick to the Pats getting their 1(23) and 2(63) or getting their 1(31) and 2(43) would be very good value.

Those numbers haven't been released yetdo we know what the guarantees are in the snead contract?
10.4 is 800k more than meredith got but meredith got 5.4 guaranteed...
either way its a contract in the right kind of region for what he should be getting - and its just enough money that the saints would be borderline suicidal to match it given their cap space...

That’s an extremely team friendly deal. Never doubt, schefter always has the numbershaha - they have been "released" by schefter
7m in base salary, 2m in signing bonus and 3.4 m in incentives...
probably 2-3m base year 1 and 4-5m base year 2 which would make his cap hit 3-4m this year id imagine - obviously if he hits those incentives the contract goes up in value (but youve got to assume those incentives would make him worthy of those larger cap hits)
Hate to break it to you but this is flat out wrong. Not even close. He caught 52% of all targets. Only 60% of all targets were catchable.I'm thrilled we ended up with Snead. Not only is he a much better fit for us, but has much better hands and the contract is cap friendly. We need to be responsible as a team with the cap so we don't have limited space every year. Not only that but if we did end up with Dez, who is 29 yo and Crabtree is over 30. We need a combination of youth and veterans. Now Snead is only 25, Brown is still 25 and a rookie we bring in will still be young also. Snead can work on the outside as well as the slot. I'm much happier with Snead then Dez who has caught 50% of the balls that have been catchable and is not creating the separation he once did. Snead on the other hand knows how to create separation.

If you are talking catchable targets, Dez caught 87% of those last year.
We win.Ozzie basically signed Crabtree, Brown and Snead for the same yearly price as Jarvis Landry.
Not even close.We win.
I wouldn't. if it was Robinson vs one of them, then it's no contest. But Robinson or an entire above average receiving corp, I'll take the latter. Too many times our passing offense has been shut down by the other team just double covering our one good WR.I'd still take Robinson over these 3.

Crabtree is a legit number 2 (hell, he was the Raiders' number 1 while Amari was having issues last year), Snead has been a successful slot receiver for awhile (barring last year with injuries and a suspension), and Brown is twice the deep threat Wallace was. The three combined are a decent group, especially if we throw in a rookie WR from the first three rounds.Above average?
Above average?
