2018 Free Agency

no but it needs to bring diverse skills to the table
Which this one does. We got a third down chain mover, a red zone target and good guy across the middle, and an explosive deep threat to take the top off.

SSR, Torrey, and Daniels all complimented each other effectively as well.

I’m not kidding when I say this. Add a Calvin Ridley, Anthony Miller, or DJ Moore to this corps and it’ll be bar none the best Flacco has ever had.

People forget in 2012. It wasn’t the best offense in the world. It was a good one across the board but it wasn’t a potent or great one. Boldin was a #1 WR and Torrey was a good #2, and Pitta a good TE. But Ray Rice was the best weapon we had and Jacoby was a #3 who honestly wasn’t that great of a Wr. It was a corps that complimented one another well which is why it worked. It wasn’t a high powered unit but that isn’t what was required. We just had a unit that got the job done, which is all that matters

All the Saints fan I've seen are super mad that Snead is leaving. He was a fan favourite and they all agreed that last year's offense didn't use him well.

100% agree in terms of talent and skill mesh
A rookie 1st/2nd rounder and any other receivers added to the mix would elevate this group to the top of flacco’s charts

But it’s also the most unproven group he’s had in terms of reliability and chemistry

Ozzie’s diversified the money and signings so that if one of the guys fails then we still have improvement but they’re all risks and so there is a possibility that availability becomes an issue

Still better than paying the same price for Sammy Watkins...

Per Schefter:

"Saints are not going to match Willie Snead’s offer sheet with Baltimore, per source. Snead will be a Raven."

if that's true then welcome to baltimore

the reaction you usually look for I find is the one from the fans. If they’re pissed that someone is gone, that’s usually a good sign.

Except for us ironically. Cause we do have one of the whiniest fan bases I’ve ever seen. Me included.

COME THE FUCK AT ME

oh yeah im not saying the moves are bad just that it's a bit premature to say that everything's fixed

Yeah we don't know what we have until they get on the field and play together in meaningful games. And still no proven TE, C or RT. While there's definitely positive signs we are a long way from the warm and fuzzies.

I really like what we've done to the WR group even before the draft. Nothing too flashy, but just an extremely solid group of players that can all make an impact in some way. If we do pick up a WR in the first couple of rounds, it looks like they won't be too pressured and can learn along the way. Call me crazy, but I really like Snead over Dez at this point in their careers. My family is full of Cowboys fans and they said that Dez has been a bum the last few seasons. I think we made the right choice, considering how upset Saints fans are.

I would say right now my biggest concern is the offensive line. I hope we address RT and C early in the draft. I worry about Hurst as a starting RT.

Noooooooooooooooo.....
