It's not a disservice at all. It's a credit that the other guys they identified (Westry, Warrior, Stone, etc.) all developed into something they thought they could be. When the draft happened, none of those guys were likely to be on the 53. But they liked them. Coaches liked them. And they've developed.

Not to mention it was a shit draft class and Wade as 5th rounder in 2021 is not the same as a 5th rounder in any other year.

It's not about a leash. If you can't cut it, you can't cut it.

If that's true, then I ask why he's drafted again. If you're trying to trade the guy because you think he sucks, then so be it. Chances are he won't get traded and he'll just get cut.

or you've seen enough already... but other teams havent seen that and still trust their draft evaluations of him...
 
Also worth mentioning that when Wade was drafted, he was mentioned as a slot guy. He hasn't played in the slot here. Stephens has stepped up and looks a lot further along than most expected... operating in the slot at times. Ar'Darius Washington played more slot than S last game. Averett has gotten some run at slot.

If he can't play outside (we know he can't) and he's that far down the line inside, then what value does he have?

And last thought for now... Wade feels a lot like Jordan Lasley. They carried Lasley for a year despite never playing a game because they didn't want to lose him for nothing if they had cut him. But I also think they knew they had nothing there once he started playing. Probably the same with Wade, but they want to try to get something back if they can this time.

I don't know about worse, because no one was vaccinated last year.

Wade from jville so i wish him the best.. maybe trading him will motivate him to become better

Like I get he probably hasn't had a good camp, but if you're taking a 5th round DB and then looking to trade him three months later because he's not good enough to beat out guys you already knew he wasn't going to beat out, then why did you draft him to begin with?

Like with a great camp, he's your 6th Corner, and that's assuming that Stephens is treated purely as a Safety. I understand that you can never have enough Corners, but Iman Marshall was drafted in 2019, and you've got other guys from your PS and guys you had in camp last year, that are guys you'd like to see develop.

Trading away Verity as an UDFA, or even trading away somebody like Boykin, who's had no shortage of opportunities to emerge and has simply fallen down the depth chart, makes perfect sense. This one doesn't to me.

I think there are some of our Undrafted players that we would rather keep or fit our scheme better than Wade and with him having high PFF grades in single coverage, maybe they can get something for him.

You’ve been talking about Washington having no shot at making this team since we signed him lol. I got you though, a spots opening up, from day one I would’ve wanted Washington over wade. My fear at this point is that someone like Boykin takes Washington’s spot as the 53rd man. I don’t believe in westry either, I’m liking warrior a lot so far but I’m just not convinced that westry long term would be the play over Washington.

Oh nooooooo.. you got me confused bro. Westry is who i said wont make it and i even said i wouldnt be surprised if wade dnt make it.. one thing i dnt do is flip flip lol.. if i think yo ass trash, im gone stick with that till proven otherwise..
