Mock Central

Why did everyone turn away from Josh Jackson as the best CB all of a sudden? He didn’t have an amazing combine but that doesn’t change his tape. I know he doesnt have a whole lot of experience but I still think he’s got a good chance to be the best DB. Some people have him even falling out of the 1st.

If he falls to our pick in the second round I will be triggered so hard that I will lose the last 5 pounds of my previous beer belly and have a full on six pack

I’ve always had denzel ward as number 1 and I still have Jackson number 2 albeit he’s further down the board than he was pre-combine

HELL NO! I don't want to know the result before it happens lol. That's what makes the draft exciting. Plus, the instant reactions on the previous board provided great entertainment.
As well as the instant reactions on the board when we don't take one of the board darlings and get some small school guy instead.

MJD had a pretty different Mock, but it had Chubb going 4th to the Browns. If the Browns had Garrett and Chubb...oh man.

With a little more than two weeks before the NFL Draft kicks off, you can expect a surge of news and rumors to hit the airwaves. Here’s the latest on what we’ve been told.

The top 10 players on many boards around the league right now are the four quarterbacks, Saquon Barkley, Bradley Chubb, Quenton Nelson, Tremaine Edmunds, Denzel Ward and Roquan Smith.

Minkah Fitzpatrick and Derwin James do not crack the top 10 on many boards, and most in the league believe they will be selected somewhere between picks 11 and 20.

That's why I don't pay attention to prospects because I don't want to get attached (or develop a man-crush lol) to any of them. That way, I can't get mad with any of the picks so long as we address the positions that need to be addressed.

Praying Fitzpatrick slides to us. That would be magic

I hope we can get Ridley just so I can see the meltdown on Facebook because "OF COARSE A BAMA PLAYER LULULULZ GUD THING HEZ RETYRING!"

I'd rather have James.
I actually would too, and that's not like me at all to go with the less developed/refined player. I think James appears to be less pro ready but I think a lot has to do with FSU making him do EVERYTHING on the field, but getting to line up at S and play his role and get comfortable will result in him being one of the best safeties in the league.

they turned on him for the same reason people started putting edmunds over smith

yeah dont do it my way - im attached to the idea of the ravens have at least 10-15 of the top 20 or so reasonable prospects and we only get to keep 1 lol

I dnt mind bama wrs but their defenders. Especially secondary id be scared of
well before you let your Ozzie hatred cloud your judgement of bama defenders and lead you to use excuses like "they won't play well if they aren't surrounded by elite talents"(a frequently used and quite silly excuse), realize that saban isn't just scheming the best defense in the nation, he is recruiting top talent, that talent doesn't just fade away because they're surrounded by other top talents, and to say bama defenders are bad because they're surrounded by elite bama defenders kinda just proves the point that they're all good talents.

So far you have: Humphrey, foster, Collins, a'Shawn and Allan Robinson, jarran Reed, Mosley, Kirkpatrick, and HHCD, all playing at a respectable starter level, all living up to, or at least close to their draft billing(Kirkpatrick probably being the most disappointing but he's improved), that's the first 3 rounds since 2013, so far the only ones I can think of in that range who have done little to nothing are tim Williams and Ryan Anderson.

Disclaimer, this was 100% off the top of my head.

Every single one of them are avg players imo. Foster looks nice going forward though but the rest of them are avg players.
