Playoff Picture

I'm not so sure that we're likely the 6 seed. If we win out, I really see us taking the 5th seed. I don't think the Titans are going to win but one more of their remaining games and in that scenario, they are the only team that would keep us out of that slot.

Not sure if playing KC or LAC will be better or not ... would be fun to take the Pats down in Foxboro ... and retake the lead in that head-to-head post-season matchup.
agree, would be a hell of a game regardless.

People may call me crazy but with the way the O showed up the last two weeks going into New England in the wildcard round doesn’t scare me I actually think we matchup quite well with them

I just want the playoffs so bad you never realize how much of a blessing it is to be a fan of a team that’s always in the playoffs this tiny drought has killed me

The jags honestly put more fear into me New England scares a lot of teams and fan bases not us

Yup and yup.

Man I would LOVE to face NE in the playoffs first.
The jags, not at all. I want to avoid them completely.

You think....we matchup well...? With their endless number of RBs and Gronk wreaking havoc, while our biggest problem is not being able to cover RBs and TEs?! Are you insane? Tom will have a field day.

I actually think the Ravens get the 5th seed because the Titans lose out (they face 49ers, Rams, and Jags), and the 2nd place AFC West team gets the 6th seed.

Me too, Jimmy G is playing well enough for a 49ers upset and the other 2 are out of their league imo. So ravens at chargers and chiefs at jags. Kind of hoping bills get the 6th seed though.

Last night might have changed the AFC playoff picture a lot. If the Steelers beat NE, we're likely going to Foxborough for our wild card round, since JAX would most likely take #2 seed in that case.

It's a very good thing the Patriots are going to be scratching for that bye or to hold on to the home field in week 16. Motivation is everything this time of year.

The Ravens have multiple paths to make it in, but they have 4 huge stumbling blocks (and a couple of smaller ones).

1) They can't end up tied with KC at 9-7 unless KC loses to Miami
2) They can't end up tied with both Jax and Buffalo at 10-6 is Jax's only win is against SF
3) If they end up tied with Buffalo for the last spot, they need 2 of 4 common opponent games to go their way, which can only be a problem at 9-7, not 10-6
4) Any tiebreaker involving SoV will mean they are out, so they can't have multi-way ties where ties are not resolved by 1 of the first 3 TBs

I worked through the scenarios here, but I'll be the first to admit the chance is pretty damn good I messed something up, because it's complicated. I'd appreciate it if some of the folks here would review and let me know what I missed.

In your article you have Jacksonville at 8-5 and Tennessee at 9-4. The Jaguars are winning the division.

Although I think the Chargers beat KC this weekend, I want KC to win due. It provides better access for us to get to the wild card if we finish 9-7. The advantage is the game is in Kansas City and that’s a tough place to play.

Gentleman's bet.... I'll take KC and the 2 points. ;)
