2022 General Draft Thoughts

If we were WR needy he'd be your top guy?
Absolutely and I’ve said it on here before.

I mean not top overall, but he’d be just behind the stingley/Gardner/cross/KT/JJ “elite potential fallers tier” with the likes of Jordan Davis and George karlaftis and Andrew booth

OK good to know!! You and rossi are really high on him. Would not like to see him in Cleveland or KC.

Wet day here, so killing some time

The draft happens about 2 weeks later than it should. I’m exhausted of draft shit by the time it rolls around, it almost kills my hype

i need all that time to be able to get through as many players as possible - been a lot slower this year than it was last year for me too

@rossihunter2 So this is completely self admittedly analysis only from an 11 minute career highlight video of London. I am gonna go and actually start watching the games now, but I wanted to get a sense of him. Here's what I saw.

Very tall
Body type is very lean honestly looking kinda frail
Plays big but at the same time can be totally rocked by some defensive players
Great 50 50 ball guy
Definitely lacks breakaway speed
Will get you at least 5 yards YAC on every play though.
Was always open even when he wasnt

To me he looks like a taller, frailer, slower, and a little bit clunkier as a runner Jamar Chase. Don't ask me why but I have the feeling this guy if he lives up to his potential could be a top 5 receiver for many years to come, but something in my mind while watching him kept telling me I see a big bust potential with him too. I can't quite quantify exactly why and I'm gonna go watch actual tape, but there was just something that didn't feel exactly right.

i think probably because a lot of his highlights are contested catches with not much separation which he's great at
but not a lot of his highlight plays show him getting the separation that he's consistently able to get because of poor QB play not getting him the ball

that would be my guess as to why you got a funny feeling

as for a comp - i kinda see where you're coming from with ja'marr chase, ironically i thought about tee higgins a little when watching him

Random draft thought. I once considered watching film like you guys, but soon realized that the Ravens hold about 3℅ of the picks any given year so I would be wasting 97℅ of the time spent! Kudos to those that can do that so I can read up on the prospects considered most likely to be there for us

Kyren improved his 40 time at his pro day. Still would love to draft him. Hopefully with 1 of our 4ths.

I don't know why I just got around to this, but due to Kaiir Elam and Matt Elam both going to Florida, I decided to see how and if they were related.

Matt Elam is the uncle to Kaiir Elam. Hopefully Kaiir is a better player, for his sake.

Everything I've seen on Kaiir is that he's a much better DB prospect than Matt ever was. He actually has awareness and some ability to tackle.

Agree that he’s a better db prospect but idk that he’s a good tackler lol - he should be at his size but from what I’ve seen, he’s not a good tackler either but it’s more forgivable from an outside corner vs a strong safety lol

Kaiir looks like a much better prospect, Matt Elam was all highlights and big hits, but kaiir is actually a really good looking cover corner, still a poor tackler though

yes, I've watched his tape and he definitely is much better, however it would be eerie to have another Elam playing db on the team and with similar weaknesses in tackling. Just weird. Definitely an excellent prospect though.

If Jaquan brisker is there at 45 and looks like far and away the bpa, should we take him?

I say yes. He doesn’t fit into a need for us, however, give me the safety tandem of Williams and brisker for the next 5 years and chuck walks, that is a really fun sounding safety tandem. I think brisker has honey badger/polamalu type potential, he might be a shallow/box type safety but he’s Uber athletic and a very heady player.

Some talk between DJ and Matt Miller that Kyle Hamilton could be falling due to the incredibly poor testing numbers. Reports that he ran in the 4.7s which is a rough time. The tape is so good though, but it's hard if you don't hit some of the requisite numbers.

That is a rough number but play speed looks good. I don’t think he falls past 13 though. If he makes it out of top ten, is he the type of prospect they spoke about trading up for? A guarantee prospect rated a tier above the rest?

If you mean the 40 time he ran in the 4.5s, and actually slightly faster than Ed Reed's time.
