2022 General Draft Thoughts

I'm feeling him at 14. If Mike G. and Allbright basically cofirm it, then it's very likely to happen.
Did they tweet where they project him to go?
Usually I pay this stuff no mind but those are 2 very connected guys saying this.

I've been thinking that Daxton Hill may fall out of the first round as well. Its possible he makes it to The Ravens in the second round but I always wonder if he's a guy that could possibly play outside cornerback full time. He did some of it in college

its been interesting that a guy that talented basically was never mocked high at all - often seeing him be the 3rd or 4th safety off the board in some mocks

ben allbright is quietly maybe the most reliable insider in the league... mostly because he's not worried about being first and he doesnt immediately tweet everything like he's got verbal diarrhoea

He's very good at what he does. Always waits until this week to put out his mock and has been one of the higher percentage guys in recent years. He's got some good sources.

for obvious reasons really switched on with the broncos in particular but has a surprising array of league-wide sources in seemingly high-knowledge areas

i think the ravens may benefit a little from having some guys we like fairly high be valued lower by the rest of the league especially at tackle

guys like rasheed walker and daniel faalele and even someone like jamaree salyer make a lot more sense on the ravens than in other teams and are likely to be lower on a load of teams's boards

someone like josh paschal also with his traits but also with his heavy hands and interior rush may well be higher on the ravens board than other teams's - gives us someone with potential to play that ZDS role but also the run defence to play early and the traits to not have to trade off instant value for a limited ceiling

this tweet is talking about his heavy hands... but im way more excited about the fact that he can do all that but also look at the way he bends the edge there... he's one of those guys id pound the table for as a ravens fit and red star kind of prospect

My favorite asset of paschal is the way he can explode laterally. He’s got real DT power and leg drive but he has ABSURD ability to get around an interior offensive lineman with lateral explosiveness

I would love to see us move with WFT. Jump the Vikings maybe gives us a chance at Stingley or KT (a dream but that would be incredible)

the fact that in 80ish hours we could either end up with Trevor Penning or KT is halarious. The difference between a nightmare and a fantasy...

Is this guy that bad lol? The entire board seems to hate him
He’s a big projection. There’s a lot to like and a lot to dislike, and if his style isn’t your cup of tea then He’s easy to hate. I’ll try my best to be objective here…

Upside:
-Built incredibly well, long, dense, muscular, prototype OT build
-feet are surprisingly quick
-looks like he can drop to nfl rusher depth
-extremely powerful, generates an insane amount of just raw “fuck out my face” type power with seemingly no effort at times
-one false move and he will pancake your asshole to smithereens, in pass protection as well, guys that don’t time their bend/counter attempt often end up getting their shit rocked into the dirt.
-fairly natural athlete and has the

Downside
-he moves fairly well but really lumbers and needs big time agility and flexibility training, think Ben Cleveland at OT. He might not be an nfl caliber OT if he doesn’t improve those things and that’s not easy
-poor anchor against a good speed to power rush, he frequently fails to absorb the blow because he just can’t get low enough and he gets driven back surprisingly often
-upright player in general unless he’s leaning forward on a DT
-plays with wide hands
-often prioritizes “being a badass” over making the best play for the team, he’ll miss a combo block or a blitz pickup to drive someone to the ground if he has the chance and does this shit an alarming amount, often after the whistle on irrelevant defenders. Guarantee he’s getting raked on the gameday threads for it when he’s inevitably here

I mean I took him at 2 in our Mock Draft so I mean maybe I'll be proven right in taking him that high lol. I figured 4 would be where they take Chris Olave or a WR to guarantee themselves a WR without the worry some team may jump them before the 10th pick. Unless of course the Jets trade the 10th Pick for Deebo before Thursday then taking JJ at 4 would make the most sense.

If you want WR1, better jump the eagles. Wonder who got pick 14.. hmm

I'm cool with the Eagles wanting a WR, I was worried they would try to jump us for Jordan Davis since Fletcher Cox is only back with the team on a 1 year deal.
