Week 13 Discussion (Other Teams)

Yeah but they still have the Vikings in week 15, hopefully Matthew Stafford will be ok to play them in Week 16 and with us fighting for a playoff spot we should keep the Bengals out come week 17. Their only easy game is against the Bears but we saw how "easy" the Bears were earlier.
I really like this I think we truly could come out with the division, something I was thinking about for the first time today and haven't thought of dating back to week 4. Look if the Bungals take care of them, we have them on a short week coming off a tough game, with them already looking at NW. Then all Nw does is have to win. It matters more that we win out ourselves, and it sounds like a lot of Ifs, but I really do think this is extremely possible. Legit looking back at this post I sound really crazy but I don't even think it is irrational.

Good to see the Bengals defense came to play tonight, already have an interception against the Steelers. So I guess the Steelers will be without Shazier next week.

Yea no chance Ryan Shazier plays against us next week. I will never wish an injury on a player if he isn't named Vontez, Draymond Green, Zaza or a few others, and that was so nasty to see Ryan like that. I will admit however, I enjoy when a player can't play against us (and then comes back perfectly healthy the next week). And some would say well then that isn't a fair match!... but look at our injuries.

From what I know, it looks like Ryan Herniated a lumbar, probably one associated with breathing (he seemed to be weezing) and some movements (obvious). If I am right, and pray I am, he would have to get it put back in or possibly operated on, but would be okay in say a month.

Alright Bengals, you can not settle for field goals here. You gotta get a TD here and quickly put the gas to the floor and run away with the lead.

oh jeez i missed the start of the game but went back to the shazier hit - his legs were not moving at all - that looked awful and i have to think it's down to technique partly - shazier has never been a good tackler and always attacks the ball like a missile which is why he misses a lot of tackles - he's always looking for that hard hit and it's really come back at him in the worst way possible

i dunno - it didnt look like his legs moved - i have to hope that was the officials, players and then medical staff telling him not to rather than him not being able to

Holy shit well we can see what solid pressure up the middle is doing to ben, he does not look nearly as mobile as usual. Bwilliams remember how you said you wanted to be a good pass rusher? this one is on you bud. Willie Henry and BWills step up

It always sucked Shazier was injured a lot because I really thought in 2014 that both us and the Steelers drafted ILBs that were going to be center pieces to this rivalry for the next decade. Mosley has proven that, and Shazier when healthy has shown the same thing and it's a shame his career may have just ended before he could get into his prime years.

It is really hard to tell with the T.V cutting out but I did notice he was on his stomach and ended up on his back. No chance the medical staff would have moved him, you never do that with a back injury. If he was able to roll over that is an amazing sign. He likely broke a disc in his back, but i really hope and don't think he got paralyzed

That play was ugly and unfortunately I fear it may be devastating for shazier. Him not being able to move parts of his body tells me it’s a spinal injury.

Wow.... Shazier's injury made the Steelers defense even more vulnerable. Moving down the field no problem.
