‘Wink’ is the New Defensive Coordinator

if martindale gets promoted i would support him and you never know he could surprise and be the right person but harbs knows his job is on the line so we now see him keeping coaches like roman and getting flacco a qb coach and taking some time to get a def coord. i just wish he would get rid of engram.
I see no real improvement in some of our wide receivers, even in some of their route running, but not sure how much of that is all on Engram as many of our guys just can’t haul in a tough catch. However at some point, changes need to be made, as we have to get improvement somehow. It just seems to me we have some of the worst receivers in the league when it comes to making a tough catch. At the NFL level, you should at least be able to determine if a guy has good hands or not.....right? It just blows my mind that our guys can get their hands on the ball but not bring it in. They get paid way too much money in the NFL to drop a ball that they can get their hands on!

Only thing is the game ends in s tie lol.
lol....You bring up an interesting point that I have thought about:
In the playoffs, I don’t like having overtime, with another coin toss and more timeouts given. IMHO, after the regular season is over and the playoffs begin - if after the two minute warning the fourth quarter expires and a tie exists they should just keep playing a sudden death until one team scores as too much is on the line and ties can’t happen. In a playoff game, I don’t like how a sudden momentum flip can occur because of time and the advantage that can be given to a team due to a coin toss. Too much is on the line for luck to play a factor. It also punishes the team that has been smart with their timeouts. The current rules are okay for the regular season, because a time limit does exist and the game can end in a tie.

Correct me if I am wrong, but under Pagano we rotated our defensive line very well, that very year we put up something like 6 sacks one game against the 49ers led by Alex Smith?

wonder how long harbs will wait on pagano before moving on to someone else. im thinking he gave him until monday plus he could also be waiting on fangio and spags to get through their interviews. pagano and fangio are my top choices
I’d like to throw Austin in the ring as well, but Pagano or Fangio would be my choice also

I’m almost positive that three of those were from Suggs. Damn impressive vs a good oline though with Staley, Iaupati, etc

Now that we are at it, can someone call Jim Zorn and tell him to comeback to be our QB coach?

I never wanted Pagano to go but it was understood that he just did such an amazing job, hell the Colts looked real good when healthy.

There isn’t an additional coin flip, the game keeps going until someone scores.

Unfortunately, I think Zorn has been out of coaching since 2012, and we just hired James Urban from the Bengals to be our new QB coach.

They are mine too. I think this is a good sign. They may be giving Pagano a few days to think it over and talk with his family or waiting on Fangio to see if he is available, instead of promoting from within.
I think Pags has already accepted and they are waiting until after the weekend to make the announcement. Just makes too much sense to have him back.
